Dr Hari Jayaram, associate professor at the Institute of Ophthalmology and consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, joins us for our next My Macular and Me webinar. He will be discussing his research on the effects of degenerative eye conditions on a patient’s mental health, looking in particular at the Covid-19 pandemic.
This research is one of the first in the UK to directly address the mental wellbeing of patients with degenerative eye conditions, such as macular disease and diabetic retinopathy, with the aim of informing healthcare professionals and policy makers on patient’s unmet needs and to improve the wellbeing of patients across the UK.
