How to deal with friends' pregnancy announcement
Hi all, As you may be aware my wife and I have been trying for over 2 years now with no success. Having been rejected from IVF treatment we decided to focus on getting healthier, losing weight etc with some success but still no positive ovulation. In the last two weeks two of my close friends have announced

ERA Alice and Emma advice
Hi ladies, We are considering the endomeTRIO testing after 2 failed transfers with top quality blastocysts. I was just wondering - 1. Have people found this testing helpful? 2. Which provider they have used to have the test? (Please DM me) 3. Can you do the test without having to down reg? I

My Rant for the Day
Sorry folks, but I just need to have a rant. I've posted here before about my AF, but that's not the problem currently. Somehow or other during my life, I always have been the 'go to' person when someone needs help, but at 75 and with fibromyalgia I feel that it's about time that I retired from this

advised to go to donor eggs
hi everyone, So after the second round of private IVF (2 egg collections & 1 embryo transfer) it’s not been successful. Both myself & boyfriend don’t have much finance left, used majority of savings & low paid jobs. The clinic we are using is small but personnel. I’m 43, will be 44 this year. My

Accupressure mat during IVF cycle - safe?
Hi all, I've been using an accupressure mat for the last month before bed and have found it really helpful for relaxing me and helping with sleep. I will be due to start my Mild IVF cycle soon and wondered if it would be safe to use throughout the cycle? Was thinking when I lay down after doing pessaries

Birth announcement (trigger warning)
Morning all, finally my turn to share that after an angst-filled pregnancy my healthy little boy was born at 38+4 by ECS on 30/06/23 🥰🎉☺️ We overcame vanishing twin syndrome, a high risk pregnancy due to advanced maternal age, the risks of a pregnancy post bariatric surgery, low lying placenta resulting

Dating scan anxiety
I am currently (going by ivf dates) 11w & 1d and my dating scan is in 11 days! Does anyone have advice for keeping me sane? I feel like my anxiety has been kept at bay but all of a sudden feeling very nervous & like I can't wait till the 24th! We've had 2 scans already, one at 8&1 with our ivf clinic

2 rounds of ICSI both low fertilisation and failed
Hi, I am hoping someone will have similar experience and be able to advise. We had our first ICSI in 2020, we were told to do ICSI as my husbands morphology was low. I’ve had a fertility check were they deemed everything was ok with me, tubes fine and good AMH for my age - I am 34 now. We went straight

Natural or conventional IVF
Hi All, Hope everyone is well. There is a clinic near to us that offers natural IVF which works with your own cycle and uses very minimal stimulation medication to none. I'm over 45 and I know my options are limited, but really want the option to conceive using my own eggs and this natural IVF option

Any IVF success stories with own eggs at 45years?
Hi all, I am thinking of doing my last ever cycle, I'm 45 years and low AMH. I already have a son through IVF (3yrs) but seeing as this may be my last chance I was wondering if anyone has had any success? I have been told that it has a chance of 2% success. Am I crazy to try again? I really dont have

Oestrogen tablets/medicated FET for APS?
Hi there, I’m due to see my fertility consultant about a new IVF cycle. I had done medicated FETs before (all failed) but now that I’ve been diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome, I’ve read that I should stay away from oestrogen tablets as they double the risk of blood clots. Has anyone with APS

Salt - serum sodium
I have just had my two monthly blood test. Whilst my ESR and CRP are within the normal range my serum sodium is 130mmol/L. (133 - 146.00mmol/L). It has been like this for the past year or so and everyone has ignored it 'til now. I am not one for pills unless I really need them like prednisolone. Can
