Lack of symptoms at week 11.

Hi.After failed IVF and a misscarraige I managed to get pregnant naturally. I'm now 11 weeks. My NHS 12 week scan has been put on week 13 which is annoying as I'm anxious after my last misscarraige. I havnt paid for private scans. Just bloods at 8 weeks that were fine. Anyway now I've noticed last few days lack of symptoms. Boobs have been sore entire time. Now I can lye on my front. I'm not really sick anymore. I also have had cramps the entire time that came and went occasionally but most day. Now nothing. I'd just appreciate any thoughts. Could this just be beggining of second trimester? I really wish my scan was at 12 weeks! Especially after a misscarraige but I get nhs is stretched.

Thanks xxx

I'm 11 weeks as well and have had a similar lack of symptoms. About 2 weeks ago, I had a horrendous migraine and when it cleared after about 3 days, all my cramps, sore boobs, backache and nausea were gone too. I had nothing at all for about 3-5 days and since then I've had more sporadic symptoms. I found old forum posts about the same sort of thing which put my mind at ease - I can't remember if it was on here or on the fertility forum. I had also posted at 5 weeks because I was worried about the cramps... someone told me that you worry about them and then you worry when they disappear. It's so true and that's helped me get through the last couple of weeks.

Thanks for this reply. Congrats on being 11 weeks! Its reassuring to hear about your similar experience too. I think its so hard not to freak out. I was awake in the middle of the night wondering why I could lye on my boobs. Anyway thanks for reply xx

It may be worth calling the early pregnancy unit near you because mine offered a reassurance scan outside of the 12 week one for those who had recurrent loss. I did find at week 11 I felt less nauseous.

Hi love, during my pregnancy symptoms appeared and disappeared all the time. My husband was always amused when he saw that I was happiest with the most horrendous nausea!

Thanks for this! Yes its crazy how we want these symptoms but they do just give you reassurance:) xx

Hi, I know exactly how you feel, I’m pregnant after loss and it’s a hard mental journey. I especially suffered as I really lacked symptoms and when they did appear they were mild. They did almost disappear around the 11 week mark too but I’m currently 21 weeks and so far so good. Sore boobs and nips have come back and I have hip pain at night but other than that and the bump, I feel completely normal. Just hang in there, maybe try and see if they can squeeze you in sooner. I called my unit after they had me coming in later and managed to get it brought a week forward. You never know. Xxx

Congratulations on 21 weeks thats amazing. I am feeling a bit more pregnant today. Bit sick and hungry so I'm hanging in there for now! Xx

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I know what a tough pregnancy it can be after struggles! The placenta starts taking over hormone production at the end of the first trimester, so around week 10-12, which is why symptoms can change at this point. So it does not mean something is happening/wrong - but I completely get the anxiety you feel and it is hard to trust your body can do it after earlier disappointment - but you got this! All sounds very normal! Hopefully the time till your scan won’t feel too long! Maybe try contact your midwife too if you can to tell her about your worries, maybe they have some advice.

Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy! It might be a rollercoaster, but try enjoy the little milestones in between! 🥹🥰🧡

Thanks for this, I did not realize this about the placenta so thats very interesting and hopefully the reason why. Felt a bit sick today and still very hungry which is promising xx

Hey there. I had a similar journey to yourself and I rang up and asked for my scan earlier due to anxiousness on my previous failed ivf and miscarriage. They were able to move it forwards. It’s always worth asking… otherwise if you’re really worried I think you could go to the epu to check everything is okay. 🤞it’s the symptoms calming down and nothing else.

Speak to your GP about your concerns and request they refer you to the early pregnancy unit for a scan. I was at 11 weeks and had the same problem you had and unfortunately it turned out to be a missed miscarriage. I did have some bleeding along side this also which it’s good you don’t have this so hopefully it could just be what other ladies say here and part of 2nd trimester but I say why worry yourself by waiting a week when u could get that reassurance earlier if you are worried! Hope it all goes ok!
