Natural or conventional IVF

Hi All, Hope everyone is well. There is a clinic near to us that offers natural IVF which works with your own cycle and uses very minimal stimulation medication to none. I'm over 45 and I know my options are limited, but really want the option to conceive using my own eggs and this natural IVF option is recommended for older women. Just wondering if anyone as heard of this or tried and and can give an advice? Thanks

Hello babyhope19, I have been having natural modified IVF, I did some research about it as I didnt fancy being pumped full of medication and also being 41 I had read it was helpful for older women still wanting to use their own eggs.

My experience has been that I only had one or two eggs collected each cycle, unlike the larger numbers I read about from other people's cycles. However I learned that for me only 1 egg per cycle tends to be of good quality anyway, the others didn't make it to blastocyst or implantation. But it only takes one and I'm currently 8wk4d pregnant and have heard a heartbeat (I've never got this far before).

For me natural modified was more suitable as I don't worry about all these test scores for different things, I didn't take a huge amount of medication (just to stimulate natural ovulation).

Worth researching and then comparing to other IVF clinics to see what suits you more.
