Second Enbrel injection
Well I managed to do the injection, didn't stuff it up as I feared I would, hahahah I have gotten home from work and to my amazement I am not like something the cat has dragged in, desperately wanting to lie down and die and have managed to sit at work all day and not take any pain relief since 6am this

Fybromyalgia?
Hi all, I've just had my Rheumy review, apart from upping my MTX to 17.5mg injections and my Enbrel, they now said I probably have fybromyalgia. (alongside the rheumatoid disease, hypo thyroid, and hyper mobility) Does anybody have any experiences of this I'm in the dark as i thought that was one of

Humira - so happy I'm able to knit again!
After having adverse reactions to all previous meds I am having my third Humira injection on Wednesday. I am so happy because I can knit again! Albeit using circular needles to take the weight off my hands/wrists and occasionally wearing my Imak arthritis gloves. I am so happy. Over the past two years

Enbrel site reaction
Hi: I was diagnosed with RA two years ago after being diagnosed with a "catchall" inflammatory arthritis for even more years back. I've been taking Enbrel Sure Click shots for about 11 months now and have had the obligatory red and issue site reactions that have gone away shortly after I give myself

Enbrel at last
all I can say is, something has finally gone right! woo hoo. The Enbrel was delivered in Wednesday and after a 2 1/2 wait to see GP I got in and had the first shot. What was incredibly amazing to him and to me, was that I didn't have a reaction woo hoo. everything I can cross is crossed that it keeps

Rituximab here I come!!!
Following my visit to Rheumo last week to discuss my enbrel immunity, it was as I thought, suggested that I try Rituximab. I had my bloods taken yesterday & they are testing for everything, then have another appointement on the 9th April to see if I am ok for it & understand the literature etc... so

How does this keep happening? Jinxed
So I have been patiently waiting for the enbrel to be delivered. I ring today to enquire and no one seems to know where it is, although we did get a delivery last week of two lots and we gave it all to a patient. I am starting to suspect, after being given three different stories, they gave that patient

Injecting Enbrel
Ever since I've been on Enbrel, I have injected myself on Saturday night, just before going to bed. It tends to make me drowsy so that seems like a good time. Last Saturday, I went to a very special concert and dinner, getting home around 1am, which is most unusual for me. I was exhausted and in pain

Refusing To Take Steroids
Not so long ago I wrote a post about being prescribed steroids and my fear of them. I'll explain how I got to this point......I was diagnosed 4 years ago and after about 18 months of using the usual Salfa and MTX I was taken off them due to complications with my liver. After another 9 months waiting

As Expected!!!
Just as I suspected, after 3 years or so of feeling reasonably comfortable my Enbrel has stopped working to control my sero positive erosive RA. I had a call from Rheumo yesterday to say that there are significant changes in my hands & feet from the last x rays last year, (which I sort of knew there

Tocilizumab
Hi. I am starting tocilizumab via infusion next week. I've had lots of biologics without success including humira, enbrel and simponi. I'm hoping this will help as its my only remaining option at this time. However I wondered if anyone had any side effects as I'm having my first dose 4 days before I

Advice about wrist fusion
Hi I wondered if I might get some advice and comments about wrist fusion. My right wrist most probably needs to be fused after severe RA deterioration and tendon rupture this week. I'm scared of this op but also desperate for the pain to stop. I'd love to hear from people who've had it done. Will I be

Access to biologics for brits in eu countries
If someone's on Humira or Enbrel in the UK, then goes to live in an EU country, can they continue with the treatment under the NHS or a reciprocal agreement? I've heard that the high cost of biologic drugs puts them out of reach in this situation. But is this true? Any thoughts on this gratefully received

Enbrel
Hi, has anyone noticed that their weight has increased when taking Enbrel? I am on 15mg mtx and also started Enbrel 6 months ago and have found my weight going up by about 5lbs, could just be the winter, but not really eating much as my appetite seems to have diminished but not my weight!

Changing back Biologics
I was on Humira for 14 years and led a fairly normal existence. A couple of year sago it started to lose its effectiveness and my regular doc retired plus we moved. Took me three docs to find one that appears to know what he's doing and he put me on Enbrel and Metotrexate last July. I have not been
