Transition to Benepali, update.
Hopefully this may alleviate some of the anxieties folk were having about being asked to change from one manufacturer to another now that
etanercept
has come off license. Mall.

Etanercept, rare side effects.
I am sure it is my inner ears causing the problem but I wondered if any one else has come across this side effect of
etanercept
.

Update after seeing rheumatologist
Hi everyone, So I've seen my rheumatologist and she has decided to put me on
etanercept
. I hate injections, but will have to learn to get used too them 😂. I've also had my steroid injection, so I can't wait to feel the benefits of that!!

How to cope with the pain
I am hopefully going to move onto either
Etanercept
or Secukinumab shortly - I am waiting on the NHS to confirm that I can have it and send it out to me. I am currently mid-flare up and in quite a lot of pain - as in my lower back is swollen and I have really bad sciatica.

Hi everyone I'm just wondering who's on Enbrel and how long have you been on it? I've been taking it for 17 years and just thought if there's anyone out there that's been taking it for the same amount of time or longer?

Hello from a new member
Then i was prescribed Benapali, (
Etanercept
) self injections at home, 12 weeks ago. I haven't had to take a painkiller since the very first injection!! I feel like i'm in a dream. I am still getting mild pain in my ankles, but nothing anywhere else.

New drug in my mix, Etanercept!
Also to gain feedback on
Etanercept
(injections) I would love to hear your experience. The thought of injections 😬 Yikes. From July this will be my drug for life! So I visited my Rheumy today, he carried out an Ultrasound on my feet and ankles.

Help, please.
I'm currently reducing my prednisolone - 1mg every ywo weeks - in preparation for my reassessment for
etanercept
. I was on10mg and I'm currently in my second week at 8mg. I'm still on 20mg leflunomide a week, and am in the first month taking alendronic acid. I'll be honest, I'm in a bit of a state.

Dexa update
I've also been reassessed by the rheumy dept with a view of trying
etanercept
, but I only scored 4.66, not the 5.1 minimum. Having said that the nurse thought my rheumy may put me on it as the score should take into account the 10mg of prednisolone I'm on daily.

Biologics and pain relief
I finally resorted to taking my last Tramadol - I had requested a scrip back in Sept while I was waiting for my new
etanercept
scrip to come through.

2 year old with JIA, possible move from Methotrexate to Etanercept
The consultant is suggesting that she moves from methotrexate to
etanercept
in the new year. We understand that this will be 2 x weekly injections as opposed to the methotrexate which is 1 x weekly.

Nausea
When I was first diagnosed with RA I went on a trial testing
Etanercept
with MTX. We had to inject either the
Etanercept
or placebo and it got to the point with me where I could hardly bear to even look at the boxes of stuff in the fridge as it made me feel so sick.
