Gaylepattie,

My sleep improved after I was optimally medicated. Perhaps you need 7mcg Zopiclone in the meantime.

If you are having a thyroid blood test on Tuesday make sure it is early in the morning when TSH is highest and fast (water only) as TSH drops after eating and drinking. If you take Levothyroxine take it after the blood draw.

It may sound like a frivolous thing to say, but get a body pillow. Since I've had mine, I've slept so well, and wake up feeling so much better for it. It gives you a feeling of safety and security that you don't get with an ordinary pillow. It's like being hugged to sleep. (How pathetic does that sound!)

Not pathetic greygoose, it sounds very nurturing :-) having a body pillow.

Oh, it is. :) And they're not very expensive. Worth a try.

Not pathetic at all, gg. I have bought a body pillow but haven't used it yet; a common mistake of the Rapunzel way of dealing with problems :P

I've got so many things like this Rapunzel . Not that I procrastinate! One of my School Reports said that J.... has a diffident (holding back) nature. I guess this trait has been with me all my life.

You want schmutter ? I got it, every type, hue, health supplements, handbags, drek jewellery, the lot. Oh, and books...

Dukan through fasting and wheat belly via Harcombe...I've bought the books, some not even read 'em and not once done the diet. My mojo's off having a holiday in North Korea and I dare not follow :D x

I use one, too. In fact I have ther body pillow on one side, and two pillows along my other side. And I use a buck wheat pillow under my head.

You've built yourself a nice little nest. :)

Hop and lavender pillows are good, too.

Hehe, oh yes, I didn't even mention the silk eye pillow with lavender. I use it to do mindfulness and then in emergencies use it for sleeping, too.

I find my eyes and face don't really relax easily. Sometimes I'm trying to sleep and I can reach up and feel that my brow is really creased and jaw is rigid. The silk eye pillow is good for that, as it puts some pressure down onto the eyes that I find allows me to relax them.

Also I have a folded hand towel to put over my face as soon as any light comes into the room.

My nest is a serious business :)

Sounds like it! :) I'm jealous!

How long have you been taking Zopiclone for and is it every night? As a hypnotic it is addictive and after a while becomes ineffective and can actually impede sleep. After 6 months nightly, my Dr has put me on alternate nights or less as required and I can't do higher dose of 7.5 mcg as it mutes my breathing and I am very disorientated upon waking.

Gaylepattie I have found that the BetterYou Magnesium Spray works well to help sleep and also alleviates aches and pains. There are three different types.

I use this nightingale-56 ! Easier to sleep and does help my wretched knees. So, with both complaints, does CherryActive taken as a tea about 30 minutes before bed.

Rapunzel, how do you make your CherryActive tea? That sounds very good, does it taste as nice as it sounds?

Rapunzel profile image

Hey Silver, sorry I've been taking a nap ! Anyways, I put maybe 20ml in a Russian tea glass, top it up with hot water et voila ! It tastes lovely with the tiniest amount of honey in it and really truly seems to help me get some sleep. Buy a small bottle at H&B then you'll find larger ones can be sourced much cheaper on t'internet if it works for you x

It's (tart) concentrated Montmorency cherry juice and nothing else; be careful many competitors have all sorts of nasties added...

This is a good explanation of the benefits choosecherries.com/press-ma...

important to get the 31% solution...and put on twice the recommended dose to start with. Taper down if you tend towards diarrhea.

How is your sleeping? I have a sleep disorder and take the same medication at about half eleven

every night. It takes about 2o minutes to work and I wake at 6am.

If there is any thin that is worrying you this can have a dramatic effect on your sleep patterns..You might find you need an occasional calmer pill - half the battle when taking tablets is fear of their

effects. I find a hot milky drink helps sleep before bed time - even if I wake I have a drink

to stop night starvation.

I too have the same trouble. In the end I was only getting three hours sleep. I would get up for an hour and then take a second one and ended up having seven hours sleep.

I know I’ll get told off for this but I don’t care.
