Preoperative testosterone level predicts unfavourable disease at radical prostatectomy.
New Italian study below [1]. "In this study, we evaluated whether serum testosterone levels may have a role in predicting unfavorable disease (UD) and biochemical recurrence (BCR) in patients with clinically localized (≤ cT2c) ISUP grade group 1 PCa at biopsy." "BCR-free survival was significantly decreased

TSH Suppression
Latest test results and they actually did all of them this time, much to my amazement. TSH 0.02 mU/L (0.20-4.5mU/L) Free T4 24.3 pmol/L (11.00-22.00 pmol/L) Free T3 5.1 pmol/L 3. (10-6.80 pmol/L) TSH suppression is about where it has been for some years and the surgeon is reasonably happy with that

One day at a time.
I haven't posted for awhile but I have been reading other posts. My one MRI and other test found no sign of cancer for which I am grateful. It is now 17 months since my lobectomy and 11 months since the completion of my chemotherapy. Friends ask me if I think about the cancer and the answer is NO

T3 dosage Query
Hello, Following very helpful advice from this group, I had a telephonic consultation with a private endocrinologist regarding my consistently low T3, T4 and TSH (the main goal was to get a repeat of my T3 as I had run out). My T3 was very low and I was taking 25ug 1x daily before running out. The

Testosterone and ADT break
I’ve been on ADT for about 4 1/2 years, with the exception of a 3-mo break when I was on a high-T clinical trial. In brief - diagnosed at 46, Gleason 10 with lymph node involved... I’ve pretty much run through the available SOC route, but qualified for immunotherapy Keytruda and that turned things around

Contraceptive pill where no break is needed.
Hello, I need help with finding a new birth control. I have been stuck in the UK because of Covid-19 and ran out of my normal pills. I spoke to a doctor and they ended up giving me Yasmin and told me not to have the 7 day break- which caused me to have intense bleeding and periods 6 weeks into taking

Muscle fatigue
I’m still finding this a problem. Even though I’m fairly sure my levels are good now (they’ve been steady and dose constant for a few months now, even with increased exercise etc) and I’m managing to be very active again - walking, cycling, just being a mum!, and I completed the couch to 5k this week
