oestrogen to progesterone ratio
Hi, my oestradiol level on day 7 of my period was 214 pmol/L and my progesterone level was <1 nmol/L. Can anyone advise me if I have a low ratio? I'm 48. Thinking I might need HRT but doc has not suggested anything from the above blood tests. Suffer with horrid anxiety and have done for 5 years

hormones - peri menopause or what?
So I had some of my hormones tested due to various symptoms and issues and these are the results: LH: 6.2 IU/L FSH: 11 IU/L Prolactin: 148 mIU/L 17 Beta Oestradiol: 143 pmol/L I first thought prolactin was high (and have always had galactorrhea) but realised it was a different type of unit to one often

Estrogen dominance causing thyroid resistance, weight gain ... Help needed on test results
Hello, I am on a wide range of supplements and have now been prescribed bio identical progesterone cream, as my practitioner thinks estrogen dominance is causing hypothyroid symptoms. I'm post menopause in late 50s Thought I'd better have a blood test before using cream! Results are: Beta oestradiol

25 years on levothyroxine and it no longer seems to be working for me.
I am new here and hoping desperately that someone can help. I was on 125mcg of levothyroxine for approximately 25 years then at my annual blood test my GP rang to say that he was reducing my dose as my TSH level had dropped to 0.025. I have no idea what the level was prior to this as I had always only

Do these thyroid results imply hypothyroidism?
I have all the symptoms of hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue. However, my blood results do not overtly suggest I need treatment for hypothyroidism. Could any supply opinions on what the probability is that my blood test results explain the symptoms I am having? Thank you very much ahead. DHEA-sulfát

bio identical hormones. Does anybody use them?
Hi Following a suggestion from my previous post, does anybody have any experience of bio identical hormones as an alternative to normal HRT? My GP want me to go back on HRT again, but I am not keen as I've alreay tried 3 different types and didn't notice any benefit in taking them except sore breasts

Advice on what to do next please? Or am I just getting old?
Hi all. I'm new to posting but have reading for a couple of months. Great source of info and most of all great comfort to know I'm not going mad or am a hypochondriac despite normal range blood results! I won't list symptoms as they are all too common with everybody else's but I wondered if anybody out

Re starting IVF cycle 😖
I had a scan today & due to under response they are cancelling the cycle. Have norethisterone tablets to take & will start again on next cycle but feeling really low. I feel like all the side effects, the injections & bruises were for nothing. Has anyone else had this happen during IVF?

PCOS - Norethisterone
Hi, I have PCOS and have not had a period in over a year. An endocrinologist prescribed me with Norethisterone which I took 3 times a day for 10 days. It has been 5 days since I finished the course of Norethisterone and no signs of any period. Is this normal?

Any good endocrinologists in the east london/Essex area?
My tsh rose on my last test to 3.98 after it showed up as 0.1 on the previous test. As always I wanted t4 and t3 done but they were ignored... I am feeling really apathetic, irritable, emotionless and exhausted right now and I am fed up of having to wait months on end for blood tests only to be told that

Finger length ratio.
New study below [1]. The study of finger length ratios may seem as wacky as palmistry & phrenology, and certainly not something that should have survived into the 21st century, but .... The ratio between the lengths of the index finger (2D) & ring finger (4D) is affected by the ratio of testosterone

Follow up consultation
Just back from our follow up following unsuccessful cycle. Consultant was positive about our chances if we try again with a fet. He doesn't think we need any extra tests at this stage and recommends we go for a single transfer again next time. Going to start on the norethisterone next week and carry

Lupron + estradiol patch
Just now applied first .1 patch. How often do you check the estrogen level? Do you keep it below 20 or between 20 and 30 as LEF recommends? Our oncologist doesn’t check the T level. Is that important?

Holy Gator Blood
4 months ago I had a shot of Lupron ( 4 month) with a PSA of .29. Just got the LEF blood test reading.....Testosterone 107...Estradiol 58 pg/ml = High and Estradiol Sensitive <2.5 = Low...PSA <0.1....I also take Avodart and Arimidex .5 mg x3 per week...looks like I better drop the Arimidex to .5mg x1

Hormone Replacement
62 years old and have been on estradiol for 5 years. Started with .05 patch and 100 mg. Progesterone. Now I am only using .025 estrogen patch. Is there any health benefits from taking progesterone or dangers of containing estrogen therapy. I know about the NIH study, but so many women still use HRR
