Female fertility is poorly understood. If you think you need progesterone then you need to ask the doctor for it however you will need to point out whether you have heavy periods otherwise the doctor won't prescribe it.
In addition if your thyroid hormone levels aren't optimal - TSH around 1, free T4 top quarter of range, free T3 top third of range - you are going to have horrible symptoms and signs.
Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw
All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after blood test
From my understanding, it is recommended to test sex hormones on day 21 of your cycle as that is when Oestrogen and Progesterone are at their highest. Was there a reason why you tested on day 7 of your cycle?
Hi, thank you all. I've been to see an endicronologist privately who looked at my previously posted ts1/ts4/t3 results. He wrote to my doctor and basically said everything was fine and recommended no further action. I have recently had my thryoid antibodies tested, but I will post results later as I don't have them to hand. I asked Doc for a progesterone and oestrogen check, which I went for. They never told me I had to take them on day 21!
I am not on any medication at all other than bloody anti depressants !
Even paying privately doesn't seem to offer any help if bluebug you are saying thyroid isn't optimal, why doesn't he pick this up ? I'm very frustrated.
