Hypothyroidism despite normal TSH (1.88)?
Hey. I'm really confused over what's going on with my body. For a few months, I have been having most of the symptoms associated with hypothyroidism. I'm having unexplained weight gain, chronic constipation, gas and bloating, hair thinning, no periods, fatigue during the middle of the day, dry skin (

No period after stop Norethisterone
I was on Norethisterone for 14 days and supposed to have a "heavy and painful period" before my baseline scan. That did not happen. Tomorrow is my scan and I had no period at all. Does anyone knows what does that mean? Am I going to be able to start the injections?

PSA rising. The trend is not my friend.
I'm in a pickle and would like to ask for your suggestions. The following is my PSA history. As you can see it is rising. The quandary is that those of us who have had radiation as our primary treatment still have a prostate in some form. My RO and urologist both said don't worry yet. We do get bounces

Bad Cramps
Hi, I'm on Norethisterone while waiting for a date for my mirena coil to be re fitted. I'm experiencing bad cramps around the time my period would be due, has anyone else experienced this?

Menopause
I thought it might be helpful to read about Menapause by a Hormone Expert and second half is about thyroid hormones that part I've posted previously:- Extract from menopause: Dear Women: Menopause is natural, but it is an endocrine catastrophe--the complete failure of your major sex-steroid producing

Norethisterone and Headache
Did anyone had severe headache while on Norethisterone? I have had it for a week and every day I have really strong headaches. The clinic told me to take Paracetamol, I am taking the maximum limit but I still have headaches. Did anyone have anything similar? If so, did you find something that relieved

Testosterone.
New German-U.S. paper below [1]. Somewhat off-topic, but I know that a lot of men still regard testosterone [T] as PCa "fuel". It's not surprising. I was born at the start of the Huggins era & I'm astonished that we are still living in it. Huggins basically got his Nobel Prize for discovering that

Estrogen level HIGHER after ovary removal?!?
Has anyone else had this happen?!! I had my ovaries out on 1-11-2019 Get this craziness.... at my last appt I asked for them to recheck my estradiol (estrogen level) to make sure it had gone down to an acceptable range after my ovary removal. She didnโt think it was necessary but I insisted. I donโt

Opinion on Thyroid/Hormone results
Hi Would it be possible to get an opinion on my Thyroid/Hormone results. I have several symptoms (more noticeable over the last year) and thought they may be Thyroid/Hormone related (some include: fatigue/low energy, difficulty concentrating, mood swings, hair loss/thinning, low libido/weak erections

Green light for my 2nd round ๐๐
Heyy lovely ladies hope you are well and happy ๐๐๐ I just had my follow up consultation after my cancelled cycle due to nothing to transfer. Turned out eggs and sperm were fine just no luck with fertilisation and what they thought was a cyst turned put to be a follicle with an egg in it. So is all

NHS Endo test results - all normal - thoughts please ...
Hi - I have finally been to see an NHS endocrinologist. It felt like something of a 'tick box exercise'. My GP agreed to the referral because I had a low serum cortisol result and because (whilst my TSH is 'normal') my FT4 is at the bottom of the scale and I've been pushing for investigation of a possible

Damned if you do, damned if you don't! Tamoxifen
A couple of knowledgeable folks on this forum have suggested the use of Tamoxifen (TAM) to reduce the side effect of gynecomastia related to some hormonal PCa therapies. Since my recent use of transdermal estradiol gel, I have developed a small amount of breast adipose tissue and a bit of nipple tenderness

Cardiac arrhythmia considerations of hormone cancer therapies.
Following on from my recent "Tachycardia" post, here is a new French-American paper on treatment arrhythmia: "Breast and prostate cancers are among the most prevalent cancers worldwide. Estradiol and progesterone are major drivers for breast cancer proliferation, as well as androgens for prostate cancer

Should I be on any medication?
Hi there - I was diagnosed with Hashimotos just over two years ago and have had my thyroid levels checked three times over the past two and a half years. My doctor keeps telling me that I'm fine but I'm wondering whether I should be on any medication? I'm taking a range of vitamins as I was low on Iodine

Frustrated - please help me with my battle plan :)
In the United States... So, last year my daughter was diagnosed hypothyroid. In studying up on that, I suspected I was too - brain fog, fatigue, low basal temp, high bp, insomnia, mild depression among other things. In Nov. I got doc to order labs. He wanted to take a wait and see based on numbers

Advice - Pituitary and Sex Hormone Levels
Hi again to all of you helpful people! Having added a private (medichecks) blood panel to my latest results, I would like some advice regarding the results, and my next steps. A second cortisol test ruled out Primary Adrenal Insufficiency, and hence I did not have a Short Synacthen Test done. The only
