Norethisterone anyone used it?

I've been stressed out to the max the past few months so periods was everywhere and now I'm later than usual which is going to clash with a well deserved family break for a week but I'm going to be on. I'm not on the pill was taken off it 4 years ago as they said it would interfere with my beta blockers which sounds crazy as I was fine until I took my last pills? So heard of this Norethisterone which delays your period just wondered if it works etc.. cant where tampons never liked them and I want to go swimming with my children.
