IVF Day 5 of Gonal-F
Hi all, so I've been doing stim injections of Gonal-F, tonight is my 5th one. I've had 2 scans in the past few days. I have quite a few follicles (she never told me how many, but I counted at least 10 to 12 on the screen!). They are all still quite small... the first lady said they are all under 10mm

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I'm worried about numbness in my arms and pins and needles at night (Sometimes arms can feel heavy / weak all day). I also have recent anxiety (Never had it like this before). Sometimes I can't sleep and other times I'm falling asleep in my feet. The brain fog is awful

Hi I’m taking norethisterone to try and induce my period a little earlier as I didn’t want to take it for the whole period of time I was away so I wanted it to start earlier. I only started taking it on Monday - if I stop it today, will my period come in around three days? I don’t know if 4 days is

Hi, I got my depo jag on Monday and started bleeding last night (Wednesday) should it happen that quickly? Anyone else experienced this? Just before this I was on Desogestrel and 5mg Norethisterone to stop me from bleeding daily.

Estrogen Receptor-β and Progesterone Receptor
New study below [1]. "The roles of estrogen and progesterone in human prostate carcinogenesis have been only recently recognized." Not true. Some recognized it at least 15 years ago, but it is not close to being accepted in the US, so far as I can tell. It has long been know, however, that ERbeta is

Baseline Scan
Yay baseline scan day today! It went fine. We saw our favourite nurse, so that was nice. Just mildly concerned as they had me on Norethisterone for "batching" as they termed it (lining all their clients up to the same timetable) and I haven't had my period yet. They need me to have my period before Friday

When to start Estrogen after Bueserilin?
I have been taking Bueserilin since CD21 and just got my period today. If the progynova/estrogen is to thicken the lining, when do you start it? I would think there would need to be a good bleed before starting the estrogen and yet my clinic says to start today, (CD1)? My lining was 11 last transfer

Has anyone else is on Buserelin during downregulation?
Hi lovely ladies, hope you are all doing well. So I have my last Norethisterone on the 16th I’ve been told to expect my period 3 to 7 days after, I’m very anxious as this round we are doing Buserelin injections and I have awful side effects also I’m worried it has postponed my period... I know I still

Timing of Norethisterone?
My clinic has just called and emailed me to get me to continue the Norethisterone for an additional two days until the end of Sunday. My worry is that my baseline scan is next Wednesday! I feel that this will mean I am bleeding for my baseline scan, which can't be right? I have emailed and called them

Period - I don’t want you to arrive however i’d also like it if you just hurried up!
Isn’t it strange? You spend your whole fertility journey wishing your period would never turn up, yet when it’s all your waiting on to start your next IVF cycle you just want it to hurry up! I’m about to embark on my second IVF cycle after having an unsuccessful first round with nothing to freeze.

Wanting to take sick leave this week
Hi all. I have been on the Norethisterone for almost a week and I'm feeling dizzy, practically sedated, and nauseous at times. Is this normal? I have worked from home today and yesterday (not sure my manager is too happy about this), as I don't feel safe for driving/I'm not getting up early enough to

The findings that the death rate for men is higher than that for women is not surprising: "Officials recorded a 2.8% fatality rate for male patients versus 1.7% for women." Women tend to launch a vigorous assault on viral insults, whereas men with normal-high testosterone [T] have a more muted response

A little vent - first frozen cycle
Hello lovelies.. I thought I’d write a post as I’m feeling a bit lonely with this whole IVF process and it’s so nice to speak to people who are going through a similar situation. A bit of background: We started our first fresh cycle in July last year but we ended up with a ‘freeze all’ situation

Anyone thought about using estriol instead of estradiol?
Has anyone considered using estriol cream instead of estradiol? A summary as to why it looks interesting: Estriol agonizes ER-beta (ESR2) more than ER-alpha [1]. ER-beta agonism is associated with anti-proliferative effects in a variety of cancers [2]. Estradiol agonizes both about the same [1]. The

Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice to induce a bleed. I have currently not had one for 4months and previous to that I could only have one when prescribed Norethisterone. When do you bleed after norethisterone?
Hi, I finished a 10 course of the tablets on Thursday and thought I’d have started a ‘period’ by now however there’s no sign of it! How long did it take you before you had a bleed? Many thanks 😊
