Weight gain on norethisterone

Hi all I've been on norethisterone since nov last year back 2 back straight no breaks and I've gained weight ive gone from 9st 12lb to 11st 1 lbs in just 3 months now I dont consume that much or calories and I'm just wondering is this actual weight gain or fake gain and will it come off once I end the pills?

Why have you been on norethistrone tablets back to back with no breaks? Why was you given them ?

Heavy prolonged periods over 2 weeks long but I'm due to come off them end of next week almost 4 months or should I say 4 months down the line now! I'm fed up of the water retention and weight gain and also developed pain n dull ache under my right ribs

Oh right, I didn’t realise that norethistrone could be prescribed for this reason. Due to my PCOS I don’t have regular periods and doctors like you to have at least 3 periods a year so I was described to induce a bleed. Sorry I can’t help
