Mortar and Pestle time - Ginkgo update
I was startled to wake up the other day and my mild tinnitus wasn't there. In the eleven months since I've had it, that hasn't happened before. I was left 'feeling alone' if you can imagine that. A brief recap. I've had limited success with Ginkgo and when the lower dose tablet became unavailable I

Doctor, my knee hurts.
Weird title but will make sense. My baseline T is constant, resonates through my skull and is slowly finishing me off. Can't work and completely withdrawing from everything in my old life. Here's my question which consultants and Professors seem unable to answer, you guys seem to have more knowledge

Worries again!
Ok, so if anybody saw my last post I'm trying a new approach with my live music gig as a singer. Most gigs are fairly quiet as they are in care homes. Sometimes just an acoustic guitar and voice (no amplification). I was concerned that I was overprotecting my ears, with all my various sets of moulded

I have fired all sizes of firearms from a rifle to a .50 bmg machine gun and different anti tank launchers. This sometimes without hearing protection due to it being in combat where

Mortar and Pestle time - An observation
In my kitchen yesterday. I measured out the crushed tablet. 62mg, which comprises 30mg Ginkgo and 32mg binding agent. I had been tipping the tiny bits into a glass of water and swallowing. 3 of this on dose day. Instead, I chewed those tiny bits. I am now accustomed to a slight rise in tinnitus intensity

Older adult with tinnitus suddenly
I am a healthy 79 year old woman who still runs one marathon a year. Had tinnitus suddenly occur in both ears. My question is does anyone associate tinnitus with HRT or dementia?

Can someone please help!!!
I’ve been on Dilaudid 4mg three times a day. I saw a new pain specialist who specialises in Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, the reason I have such severe pain. I was using the 10mcg patches, but couldn’t stand the itching and rashes and bruises from scratching in my sleep, and NOTHING helped with this. Also

New to Tinnitus
Hi I have only had Tinnitus in one ear for about 2 months. It started when I started taking Fexofenadrin for itchy skin. After about a week a buzzing in my ear started. I didn't connect the two until I stopped taking the Fexofenadrine for a week and the buzzing stopped. As soon as I started it again

Ivermectin
I was recently diagnosed with CLL after a year plus of repeating colds and respiratory infections. My whites were in the high 20's sometimes almost doubling in a couple of weeks time. Now they are in the low to mid teens and I feel good. So, my question is has anyone used Ivermectin with any success?

How do I say goodbye?
Two and a half years ago at 03.30am in the morning I woke up instantly to a screaming high pitched sound originating from the left side of my head, just below my ear.Two days later at a GP appointment, it was decided it was probably an ENT issue. Other symptoms followed, headaches off the scale, ear

Hi everyone, I’m very new to this journey as I started to get a strange noise in my left ear one morning about four weeks ago. I then forgot about it and realised it happened again. Since then I’ve had constant noise in my ears. I’ve been told I have no hearing loss, so it is stress induced. I’m finding

Adapt and keep moving forward
It can be so easy at times to get lost in all the adversity that comes from CLL, treatment and this life. I don't want to list all the hard, gut wrenching things I've encountered of late. Rather, I want to focus on getting past the denial, anger or depression side of grief and on to the accept

Travelling on the tube train
Hello I suffer from hearing loss in both ears, it’s the high frequencies I struggle with, I am just waiting to be fitted with NHS hearing aids. I am hoping they will help with the tinnitus I have had since November 2023 and my hearing issues. I notice that when I travel on the tube train in London

Hearing and PA
Hi PA experts. I’m looking into links between sudden hearing loss in an ear, tinnitus and PA. There are many posts on ear pain but does anyone know a link to temporary or variable or just declining hearing loss at all ? Appreciate your education Thanks

Blood test interpretation
Hallo everyone, I requested a blood test to cover a number of things - not sure this one covers everything or maybe there's more to come. I wonder if anyone might be willing or have the time to help with interpretation. ESR looks OK - I requested CRP as well but doesn't appear to be there unless I
