Hello, beautiful community. Thanks to all of you for helping me to learn how to manage my hypothyroidism. The new challenge is to get treated for Lymphoma(cancer of the lymph system. There is a guideline about some medications like any anti-inflammatory medications and some hormone replacement therapy

Fitbit or treadmill more accurate?
I just completed my W8, D3 run. I was using an 8 week program, so I did 30 minutes today. I suffered pretty horribly through my two 28 minute runs, so I took the advice here and slowed down just a bit. What a difference! No suffering at all! I’m really happy. I’m at not quite 2 1/4 miles on my Fitbit

starting chemo
Hi ladies just about to start chemo , as usual my thoughts are going mad !!!! Did you find you stayed in a lot and did not mix outside , I really still want to go places and see my daughter at dance comps , I know things won’t be a walk in the park but I’m trying to keep things as “normal “ as possible

What things made you feel better when dealing with depression, fatigue and fevers or other side effects of medication or treatment?
I'm the spouse of a CLL patient who is in chemotherapy right now, and could use some suggestions from cancer patients who have "been there." I can't seem to lift my formerly VERY fit and active 74 year old husband's spirits lately as he deals with some bad side effects. We've tried short walks (he tires

Waiting time for Xofigo after failed Lu177 PNT2002 ?
On the day before my 3rd infusion of Lu177 PNT2002, my bone scan shows increase in size of my old mets and numerous new mets. It is obvious that the Lu177 didn't work in my case. Meanwhile the PSA kept rising from 23 to 41 in 4 weeks. On, 3-21-23, I have declined the 3rd shot of Lu177 PNT2002. I kicked

I’m game to try couch to 5K
I’ve been through chemotherapy in 2020 Relapsed early 2021 and went through second series of chemo - finished March 2021. I’ve had no energy since. Maybe due to long covid as well as recovery from intense chemo. I thought I would give Couch to 5K a go but worried it might be too much. Any tips?

Triplet Regimen vs Clinical Trial (Pluvicto)
I was recently diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer with diffuse bone metastases (March 20th). I met with my oncologist at Sloan Kettering on March 23rd and received my first hormone treatment (Degarelix). My PSA has already dropped from 189 to 23.89, and I had my second hormone treatment, which was

My husband Scott (age 70, stage IV prostate cancer, widespread bone mets) had a PET scan a couple of weeks ago to see if his Pluvucto treatment is having the desired effect. His results were mixed, with some mets doing a bit better, some worse, and a couple of new ones since the last scan. A new

CLL Treatment/Experiences
This is my first time on this site and I hope to hear how other people have experienced their first round of chemo for CLL and if they had any negative side affects.

Chemo and Flying short haul
I need some advice. I have advanced OC and was diagnosed with recurrence in April 2023 starting carboplatin and calyx last week. I have a city break planned flight is for one hour but we travel one week exactly after my next chemo session. I would love to go but am I being unrealistic ?

Is there hope? I’m dreading asking the question of “how long”…
My father was diagnosed in September ‘23 with a PSA in the 900s. It had already metastasized throughout his body in several parts of his bones (ribs, spine, hips, femur and a spot at the base of his skull) but no organs had been affected other than his prostate. We were hopeful when it began to climb

LGSOC located in pleura
HiIs there anyone whose lgsoc is located in the pleura? I was diagnosed in June 2020. My ovaries were removed as part of a hysterectomy in 2008 hence the migration to the pleura. Debulking was to take place but surgeon said there was too much cancer. I have had chemo for secondaries. So it's incurable

Have you been on Gemcitabine (Gemzar)?
Hello, I am starting Gemcitabine tomorrow and am wondering if anyone has advice on this chemo? Is it well tolerated? A nurse told me today I should get a port, my Oncologist said I should be fine without one. I had a terrible time with Enhertu and extreme nausea, I’m hoping this drug won’t be as hard
