3rd time hair loss in 2 years

Hi all, I'm coming up on my 2 year anniversary of BC diagnosis. Just over 1 years since I was diagnosed stage 4. This last week I started a new chemo for targeted therapy. This is my 3rd med switch in a year due to progression. I knew it was possible that I could lose my hair again. (1st time with chemo July 2021, 2nd time whole brain radiation April 2022) 50/50 chance. Here on day 5 from the new med my hair is falling out again. While I thought I was prepared for this again, I'm not ready. Not yet. I'm not even 38 yet and it will be my 3rd bald summer. I just had to put this out to those who may understand the trauma of this event. Wish you all the best in your journey.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through Warrio. You have been warrior-like through it but too much can get you down. I recall when my daughter was diagnosed with BC 6 years ago and her hair fell out with the chemo treatment. Its well and theoretical to say that it will grow out again, but the person concerned goes through hell! A big hug to you. Keep well, get well soon.

Try to keep your spirits up Warrio. Losing your hair is traumatic enough the first time but 3X can be so discouraging. I lost my hair in the fall, so hats were an option. (I never did like the wig-worn 2X only). I never quite believed it would grow back though it did after a few moths ... a bit thinner and dryer than before but thankfully it's back. My oncologist said there was only a slight chance it wouldn't grow back but you always hear the worst. At least you know that it will. I managed to keep my eyebrows and the baby hairs around the face. (No lashes) That was something at least. Stay strong and keep the faith that the drugs will work. Try to enjoy the "now" and wear a sunhat! Best of luck to you and hugs too!

Thank you so much. I'm going to try hats this summer, the last 2 times I wore fun colored wigs. Thank you for the words of support.
