It,s now five years since I had an oesphagectomy. I find that I,m suffering from flashbacks a lot of the time. It was eighteen months of continual tests before I was diagnosed then I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy followed by surgery. I,m used to my new normal now regarding diet etc however it’s this

Does this sound like Lymphoedema?
Hi 👋 I'm worried that I'm getting lymphoedema.... I was treated for triple negative breast cancer in 2019 and had a horrible time with chemo, a lumpectomy with SLNB, a second op to clear the rest of the lymph nodes, and finished with 4 weeks of radiotherapy ending in Jan '20. After the clearance op

Buprenorphine and constipation.
Can anyone tell me how constipating Buprenorphine is please? I’ve heard a lot about the nausea it causes but not that other side effect of all morphine drugs. Is it better or worse than other opioids? As it is supposed to be the best one for controlling RLS and my Neurologist is going to ask my GP to

Xofigo anyone?
So my PSA is rising after Chemo, Lupron and NUBEQA (Darolutamide). It rose from 0.04 in June 2023 to 0.84 at the end on April 2024 with latest time of doubling about 5 weeks, 2.3 years after diagnosis. I don't have organ on lymph node metastasis yet. My oncologists team suggests Xofigo/Ra-223 as a next

Is my sister repeating history?
I have a younger sister. Through the previous posts you would know that my younger brother is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for almost 7 months now. So this post is dedicated to my sister. I came across something shocking. She is around 12. And has been the life of the party. She is a jolly person

What next? re maintenance for HGS recurrence
Would love to know if any ladies who has also been unsuccessful with Olaparib, what has been a successful maintenance for you? I’ve just got 2 cycles more of Carbo/Caelyx, min scan showed slight reduction not as good as hoped for. Only maintenance mentioned by oncologist is to go on Letrozole. I

Hello, please see my profile for history on my dad's condition. He went to the ER this weekend with severe flank pain and CT revealed left-sided hydronephrosis as likely cystic soft tissue mass obstructing the left ureter. An anterograde stent was placed after failure of retrograde stent. The cancer

After Four Cycles of Ra-223
After four cycles of Ra-223 sadly it seems not to be doing as well as we would of liked. I have numinous new uptakes (to numinous to mention) as well as an increase in size of some of the older sites while a few have decreased in size or disappeared the new activity is outweighing the overall success

I feel like my life imploded
Life has been a rollercoaster. I have barely been able to get out of bed. My meds quit working months ago. My veins quit cooperating so they've been using the veins in my hands before they decide to put a port in me- Which I am not looking forward to. I have done everything they've said to avoid it,

Experiencing possible neuropathy in my trunk
I had had 10 rounds of radiation to treat two spinal bone mets back in March. I am on Lupron (first shot was in March) and abiraterone and prednisone daily. PSA has plummeted and doing good. Prepping for chemo in May. This past Wednesday I started feeling some discomfort in my front and back. It's hard

Alimta - Fevers
My mum has been fighting this disease since 2016. At diagnosis she was high grade OC stage 3c. After initial surgery and chemo she was in remission for 5 years but unfortunately the beast returned in 2021 and since then she has been under constant treatment. Her last scan a few months back showed

Hydroxycarbamide
Hello I’m taking Hydroxycarbamide 500mg daily for the last 3 years for ET jak2 positive. Yesterday 4 of my fingernails came away from the skin bed…… so sore and painful. I have asked Doc Google who says this can be caused by long term chemotherapy medication. Has everyone had this issue and if so

I am overwhelmed with gratitude to all those that have responded to my post yesterday . I responded individually to the first people ( I’m not sure how to private message , I’m a bit crap with technology and my texting thumb is numb 🤦🏻♀️) But thank you all . I have had both psychology sessions
