Hi, My 18 y/o daughter has CP and Seizure Disorder. She is on Keppra, Lamictal and Epilim to control her seizures. Will an occasional glass of wine upset the balance of these medications?

Lamictal and electric shock nighttime 'seizures'
I have had JME for nearly fifty years, but I was on Keppra, then Epilim, then Fycompa, all with Lamictal from circa 2012 that caused the question? I was taken off these medications, BUT it was when I was on the Lamictal solely when I would have these attacks, I would still be having my Grand mal attacks

Investigating use of a surrogate. Any advice welcomed
Hi all. I'm new to the forum and wanted a bit of advice. Just a 'quick' summary. Due to my poor ovarian reserve my husband and I have struggled to conceive. We've had multiple failed IVF attempts. Our last attempt was 3 years ago and resulted in 2 embryos. Just before transfer however I was diagnosed

It's finally time to share again with all you amazing people.
Next month will officially be one year since I was diagnosed with epilepsy and the doctors are still unable to find the cause, so I just get more and more drugs. I'm finally on max Epilim and Epitec and they've added a new one to the cocktail last week. After the epilepsy my body started doing strange

Epilim
Hi, I don’t tend to post anything but my mum’s condition feels like it’s entering the difficult phase. Frankly I could handle the lack of mobility but to loose my Mum as a person (virtually overnight) is upsetting and worrying. I wanted to know whether anyone here (whether for CBD or PSP) has taken Epilim

Sodium valproate and contraception
On Wednesday, I attended a consultation with my daughter's neurologist and epilepsy specialist nurse. We were to have a discussion about my 15yo daughter's sodium valproate. She has been on Epilim Chrono since she was 7yo. I was told that, as of two weeks ago, the Health Department's policy is that all

Epilim to Keppra
My wife has terrible shaking with Epilim and through our GP we are trying to ditch the Ep and move on to Keppra. Does one come off the ep entirely? We are on 150mg Lamotrigine, 400mg Epilim and 1000mg Keppra. Would the 400mg Epilim still cause shaking/tremors?

Epilepsy after encephalitis
Hi everyone, my partner had encephalitis (unknown cause) last October. He has been taking a high dose of steroids since then to rule out an autoimmune cause but, since then he has been having between 1-3 seizures everyday. We have been told they are complex partial seizures and while his recovery is

What cocktail of medication are you on for your Anxiety
I seem to think I am on too many meds but, my Pdoc says I must stay on them. I suffer from anxiety. I am on Epilim (low dose) Cipralex 15mg, Fluanxol for anxiety 1mg, and Xanor 0.5mg SR morning and night. Am I on too many or just enough?

Are these epilepsy symptoms???
Hi, I'm hoping for some advice. My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with Juvenile Absence Epilepsy a year ago. She is currently taking Epilim which seems to keep seizures under control on the whole. There are the odd days here and there when she has absences but she hasn't had a tonic clonic seizure
