Stopping Orgovyx after six months
My brother has PCa as well. We keep it in the family... He had a PT ten years ago but his PSA rose so he got salvage radiation and went on Orgovyx. His MO said he would be on it for 18 months, as is SOC. He didn't like his MO so he switched to a GU MO. That MO said the research showed six months of ADT

Surprising Test results
I've just had my thyroid retested at the doctors' and was very surprised at the results. TSH 0.01 (0.38-5.33), FT4 14.8 ( 7.9-14.4) FT3 5.0 (3.8-6.0). In March I did a finger prick test with Monitor My Health TSH 0.01 (0.27-4.2) FT4 21.2 (12-22), FT3 6.1 (3.1-6.8) I had mistakenly not taken my 5pm

Rise in psa
I had rp in 2021 with recurrence 12 months later to 1 lymph node. RT to 9lymph nodes and zoladex hormone therapy for 18 months. Psa has been undetectable for 12 months but just rose to 0.03. Do I need to wait until it rises to 2.0 as I've seen advice before or is there a more proactive approach? Thanks

Internet Myths about Red Meat
I know that many men, egged on by well-meaning caregivers and sometimes doctors, deprive themselves of red meat. Some (non-Hindus) have an almost religious attachment to plant-based diets. I expect they will object to this article. For that reason, it goes into the weeds of what constitutes Internet

Strong negative reaction to first Docetaxel treatment
I am participating in an NIH study combining Docetaxel with an immunotherapy. I had my first treatment of only Docetaxel this Tuesday. I lasted 2 minutes and 7cc before I had a severe reaction - severe flushing (glowing red from head to toe), difficulty breathing, sweating, uncontrollable shivering.

Update on prognosis for my husband with stage 4 A cancer.
I met with the Cornell team and the oncologist was against surgery and now they are suggesting radiation for two weeks 5 times a day by MRI guided machine and ADT for two years. Have a consult with Memorial Sloane Kettering next week then will make our decision. Feeling confused as want hubby to make

Occupational therapy intervention for FND
Would anyone like to share their experiences of occupation therapy intervention for FND, especially in relation to the mitigation of shaking, vocalisations, and hypersensitivity to noise. How helpful did you find it?

Prostrate Cancer treatment ADT
HiI am being treated for PC. After diagnose I was put on ADT treatment. This stops testosterone production. Had a bone scan and found I have osteopenia. I am taking a calcium citrate with vitamin D. Also once per week Alendronate 70mg. Has anyone else been in the same boat? Thanks

xtandi plus talzenna
Has anyone else been down this treatment to add Talzenna to their adt treatments? I started only a few days ago. Side effects seem to be severe. Kidney pain, back pain, brain fog, fatigue. I stopped after only day three. Awaiting my MO to respond to the call for help. I feel way too medicated.

Can symptoms come and go?
Hello everyone, At the moment I'm waiting to see the gp tomorrow about thyroid and b12. I'm having various symptoms but they are coming and going. They may not be B12 related. Or they may. Eg.I just did about 20 mins of putting a wash on, making up a bed, not rushing. I've had to lie down because

Getting head around what to expect
I like to have facts. In times of stress I think Facts are our friend. Better to be prepared, mentally, physically, financially, with support systems, etc.. so looking for any insights as to what I should expect and prepare my husband, myself and my kids/family for in the weeks and months, years ahead

PSA from .08 to 2.1, after 2yrs ADT with zytiga and RT @59 yr
so seems to be back and waiting on PSMA PER SCAN. From what I understand, they usually look for something and do a scavenge RT treatment. Anyone who’s gone through this did you have to go back on ADT because that just sucks.. I had high risk Gleason score 9 anybody deal with this? I’m sure. Let me know

Pulmonary Node revealed with PET scan not growing
During my treatment for PC the first Pet scan showed a pulmonary node. There were no Mets beyound the prostate. Three DRs., Urologist, Oncologist and Pulmonary, did not attribute the node to the PC, since it was so far removed and there were no other mets revealed. A subsquent MRI 3 months later indicated

Proton Beam radiation
83 ys old, gleason 9, ADT since Feb 22=6 sessions until now. No prostatectomie. Proton beam radiation: 30 sessions = 72 Gy, result PSA 0,014 (undetectable), minor inkontinence (pads). I am very happy about the outcome. Living in Germany: insurances cover the cost( approx 50k)
