Banded varices
Hello, my fiancé had his first
endoscopy
this morning and they banded 2 varices. They said there was some bleeding so his stool might be darker next time he goes. They prescribed him 40mg of Pantoprazole, twice a day for 2 months then once a day after that.

Fibroscan result
Since then I've had six monthly checks, scans,
endoscopy
etc however, a few days ago I had my first ever fibroscan and the result was a shock to me and the liver nurse. It was 36. The only medicine I take is propranolol 40mg 3 daily. I have no swelling anywhere and my bloods are normal.

Should I ask for PA test?
I have recently had gastro issues and had an
endoscopy
which looked normal apart from slightly lax valve. I was diagnosed with Graves in 2003 treated with RAI in 2005.

Blood transfusion with PV
As a precautionary measure before having an
endoscopy
I was asked if I was OK to have a blood transfusion. I presume having PV does not preclude me ?

Input from ppl with HE
I’ve got some continuing neuro-type symptoms that I’m trying to get to the bottom to. I know HE shows some profound symptoms in severe stages, but for grade1-2, I’m curious what it feels like for you. I typically have spaciness/slight disorientation nearly every morning. It typically goes away by early

Hydroxychloroquine by Zentiva
Does anyone know how I can get hydroxychloroquine by Zentiva? I have been getting it from Boots for the past year but today I was told that there is a shortage of the drug and no one else can get it. I can’t tolerate any other brand as I have a stomach condition which is being monitored by yearly endoscopies

In a quandary!
I’m due for another ultrasound
endoscopy
in 2 weeks time for my duodenal adenoma problem for which I’m under 6 monthly surveillance, there’s been no change each time but as they know so little about it I have to continue with surveillance indefinitely, I’m just hoping these new investigations don’t stop

You couldn't make this up!
Recommends
Endoscopy
, and will do it on NHS. Request denied by hospital. My GP has to refer to the SAME consultant in a clinic, few months away, where the advice will be same. Tell me, how is this saving NHS money and resources? I am beyond frustrated.

Strokes Again!! Update on mine and cerebral vasculitis.
Thankfully I am due another steroid injection next week and then a trial of azathioprine, but they want a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
first, as they also suspect ulcerative colitis on top of the years of chonic pancreatitis!!!

Has anyone with PA had an
endoscopy
that showed mild or severe gastritis? I just had mine done and am finishing up a 7 day dose of carafate that I guess coates and will heal my stomach lining.

Bloating and Gas?
Gasterologist did
endoscopy
and declared gastritis. Gave me pills that do nothing. Then changed it to more pills that do nothing. Nodules in lungs, nodules in thyroid, nodules in pancreas, etc.
