Input from ppl with HE

I’ve got some continuing neuro-type symptoms that I’m trying to get to the bottom to. I know HE shows some profound symptoms in severe stages, but for grade1-2, I’m curious what it feels like for you.

I typically have spaciness/slight disorientation nearly every morning. It typically goes away by early afternoon (after I’ve had 2-3 bms). Today it’s lingering longer than usual. If I press on my skull lightly I felt a slight headache twinge that goes away. And my face also feels slightly tingly but is not red or swollen.

At some points it feels like there’s something pressing lightly on my head, similar to wearing a hat on some days. Turning my head fast makes me feel disoriented but not fully dizzy. Kind of like my head is floating.

I also have some sleep disturbances. Slept ok last night thank jeebus.

Honestly, it sometimes feels a bit like I’m buzzed (but I’ve been sober for 8 weeks now)

I am not diagnosed but have another CT on Friday and endoscopies scheduled 2 weeks after that. Normal labs twice now. However, spleen pain, RUQ and luq pain, cough while eating/drinking coffee. Had a bad coughing fit this morning while eating that made me feel lightheaded and a bit dizzy. Throat felt tight afterwards. Rectal bleed in January and hemorrhoid type pain - the deep stabbing feeling (told my GI about it, it has not recurred).

Does this feel similar to any of you others with HE? The pains I can handle, but this neurological stuff is disconcerting.

Thanks for your input!!!

I feel like you do sometimes, slightly buzzed or that floaty feeling, without drinking or smoking anything. Although obviously I have been having issues with sleep, it's almost 4 a.m. 😳 l also get really crabby sometimes, not sure if that's HE or lack of sleep due to HE. I have noticed it happens especially when I'm dehydrated, so then l try to drink more fluids. Except then I'm in and out of the bathroom all night. 🤪🤭

Thanks for your input Bootandall! Based on your 4am post time, looks like we’re both eastern standard time! And I feel ya on the in and out of bed all the time. When I wake up I try to drink more water, which means I’m gonna wake up again in 3-4 hours. It’s necessary though. Hope your condition is staying in the same state and not advancing.
