Colonoscopy Whilst on Steroids
I am wondering if you could let me have your opinions before I speak to the
endoscopy
unit. I am having a colonoscopy later this month. I know how to live! 😊 My question is, on the day prior to the procedure, I am allowed a light breakfast - which is when I would normally take my 3mg of Pred.

Hashimotos and iron deficiency anaemia
which postdates the hemi- thyroidectomy that tipped my TSH and T4 into the abnormal zone ( previously subclinical) The medics are struggling to find an underlying cause for my IDA - coeliac disease is ruled out and gastroscope and colonoscopy are both clear ( though they plan a wireless capsule

Undiagnosed - suffering for at least 15 years, feeling frustrated
I'm severely anaemic, have just had to have my fourth set of iron infusions and I'm under gastro again after previously having a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
(clear beyond a hiatus hernia). I've now got to go back for the same tests because I'm so anaemic again and the tests were in 2014.

Elevated B12 but no evident reason
The only tests I didn't do so far are colonoscopy and
endoscopy
of the stomach, which I plan to do soon but no symptoms in that department. The only findings were due to back pain, like a beginning of herniated disc and dehydrated discs in the spine.

Endoscopy
I’m due to have
endoscopy
on the 10th of September. Does anyone know how long does it take? Any side effects? I’m going on holiday 2 days later and I wonder if it’s going to leave any side effects while I’m away? Is it difficult? Appreciate some feedback Basel

So fed up
After clear tests results from Colonoscopy, Ultrasound and
Endoscopy
plus bloods I was no better. I saw a Nutritionist on 17 July as I was so fed up and she tested me and said I had a high sensitivity to gluten, yeast, rye, barley and formalin (don't know what that is).

Sigmoidoscopy done... what now
I just had a sigmoidoscopy done because my bowel symptoms were what concerned my doctor the most, there was a bit of bleeding up there but nothing too concerning and it was the first day of my period so I usually get a bit bleeding out my ass when I'm on anyway but the ladies at the
endoscopy
unit basically

Does this sound right? Really confused
Endoscopy
showed mild gastritis. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroid ten years ago, with high anti-thyroid antibodies and high antinuclear antibodies. I am 63 years of age, and wonder if I have PA, especially in light of my thyroid disease. How would I know?

Newly diagnosed with Ileitis (not sure if Chrons or infection)
They are going to do an
endoscopy
too. Anyone with a similar experience or information that can help me as I’m panicking and desperate for answers and my gastro team hasn’t been very helpful. Thank you!

Post lumbar microdiscectomy surgery/recovery
I had an endoscopic microdiscectomy on my L5/S1 on 21st June 2019 after suffering agonising/debilitating pain from March 2019 (the surgery was only fast-tracked due to private medical insurance). I was advised the usual, to not bend, twist or lift anything heavier than 2lbs in the first 6 weeks. Not

I've been suffering for 2 years now, 2 ambulances, one week hospital stay, 2 colonoscopies with biospies, 1 upper
endoscopy
but no biopsies were taken, surely that would have been ruled out by now? Any similar experiences would be appreciated.

Am a little anxious to stop Apixaban for 5 days
I have to go in to have a colonoscopy and
endoscopy
and instructions say to stop taking all Blood thinners 5 days in advance. This seems like a long time to be off them and makes me anxious. Any input is welcome please.
