Do I self treat now?
I've since had another
endoscopy
and the gastritis remains after 3 years. The results were 'reassuring', whatever that means. Apparently this consultant denies it being atrophic.

Latest update - I had my
endoscopy
last Monday and all the results came back clear which is a relief but the doctors still don't know what caused the pain in the first place which probably means I will have to have some more tests...

Coeliac diagnosis confirmed
I'm very glad I started gf diet after
endoscopy
. Things are going well with that although it's amazing how your mindset about food changes. Six months ago if you'd have told me I'd have to give up gluten forever I wouldn't have known how to cope.

I have been suffering from gastritis for years, and I’m petrified to have
endoscopy
so I’ve been trying to deal with this through diet only, I have got omperazole tabs, but after reading online that they can cause dementia I stopped taking them, whether this is true I don’t know, but it’s freaked me

I’ve been to multiple doctors and specialists and have had both an
endoscopy
and a colonoscopy (both came back perfect). Other symptoms I have include severe bloating, unpredictable bowel movements, fatigue, increasingly painful period pains and constant burping.

Blood in stools
I’m very active but do get v tired .. had
endoscopy
and colonoscopy about 2 yrs ago whilst in EU all cane back fine. But I’ve had upper abdominal pain and lower pain in and off for few years .. now noticed bright blood in stools.. is this to do with the gastric issue that comes with PA ?

How do you give yourself security?
I ended up having a colonoscopy and an
endoscopy
. The only thing abnormal found was more acid in my stomach than there should be and a hiatus hernia. Nothing abnormal in the colonoscopy.
