One year since ablation and suffering
Hi everyone. Can anyone give advice or has anyone been through similar? I had a catheter ablation last February for SVT (my heart rate would go up to 200/220 BPM and I had to be admitted to A&E each time). The procedure was apparently tricky as I went into heart block and the surgeon said that he nearly

Pros & cons of a catheter ablation for AF
I’ve had AF diagnosed for several months, and the Cardioversion I had reverted back into AF. The second one is holding with the help of a drug, but I’m being recommended an ablation. I actually feel more well now than I have for many months, and it is hard to voluntarily put myself through another procedure

Waiting Times
I've been trying to find statistics for waiting times for procedures/surgery in Hospitals, but I've had no luck. Does anyone know where to find this information? I'm on the waiting list at my local hospital for a Cardiac Ablation procedure to remedy Atrial Fibrillation and Flutter. How long did you

Recovery After Cardiac Ablation

Permanent AF and A flutter but rate control reasonable but permanent erratic rhythm AF is this something you can live ?
Permanent AF and A flutter- rate reasonable but rhythm not AV node ablation was on the cards but not now as rate under control, I am little concerned as I do have moderate heart failure as well. I have a pacemaker to control bradycardia and sinus pauses which is great, but the rhythm is so erratic

Life after pacemaker and av node ablation
I had a pacemaker and av node ablation for AF about 4 weeks ago as my heart rate was constantly high in spite of maximum dose of Bisopralol. I still feel very tired and can sleep for 2-3 hours during the day as well as a normal nights sleep. Is this normal ? I’d like to add that due to high heart rate

Afibs related to vagus nerve trigger
Was diagnosed with Afib last November. Had catheter ablation in March. But still suffer afibs in mornings and sometimes all day. Recently I suffered stiff thoracic spine issues and next was out too. After couple visits to Chiropractic I think the afibs may actually be triggered by the impinged nerves

Migraine aura...
I posted the other day about a sinus type headache which I have had on and off (more on than off) for the last seven weeks and how my incidence of migraine aura, which used to be about once a year over the last five or six years since they started have been three in three months. Just read the AFA association

Difficulty exercising
Following an AV node ablation (which has made me feel so very much better) I am really struggling with my efforts to go for a healthy daily walk - tight chest and enough breathlessness to feel a bit uncomfortable. I have to walk really slowly and it is deterring me from doing it, which is really sad

Pacemaker to stop AF?
Did anyone here have a special pacemaker implanted to stop AF episodes quickly and did it work? I do NOT mean the normal pacemaker implanted after AV node ablation. Would be grateful for information. I just found that possibility online a few days ago and a cardiologist in my hospital said it still

ESR
Just wanting to ask a question. Had my blood work done and have been feeling quite well so felt my CRP would be good. I know by how I feel what my blood markers will be. My CRP was excellent but my ESR had doubled. I have been on K2 now for 6 weeks and this is he first blood work after taking that. I

Pacemaker for AF
I’m 87 years of age, with AF and a fast heart rate not adequately controlled by Bisoprolol 5mg twice a day. After a catheter ablation which was successful for a few months I’ve been offered a pace and ablate procedure at LHCH Liverpool. Will I have better energy, no light headedness. Or breathlessness

Pacemaker for atrial fibrillation
My AF causes me to have fast heart rates which are not controlled by maximum dose of Bisoprolol 10 mg a day. Being 87 years of age and after one catheter ablation which only gave me 4-5 months of sinus rhythm it’s been decided to do a pace and ablate procedure next week. My worry is whether my symptoms

Watchman closure Device

This is an approved procedure in countries other than Australia where it is currently on trial. How is the trial in

Possible AV node ablation due to conflict between my pacemaker and my own cardiac electric circuit. Pacemaker for complete heart block.
Any chance anyone has had to make this decision. I'm finding all prescribed drugs are giving me horrendous side effects. I'm only being paced at 3.7% and feeling very reluctant to terminate my own electric circuit. If I have the ablation then I will be 100% dependant on the pacemaker. Is there by
