I have had 2 ablations in last 18 months first for a flutter second for AF
Both went well and so pleased that I had them
Hi mine was done late last year, it is very scary but you should talk to your medical team who will be able to put your mind at rest. It is not uncomfortable but you do need to take it easy for a while and do what they say. Don't forget it is an operation which they do and a regular basis and you need to put your trust in the experts - good luck
The best part was when it was done, but it really wasn't bad. The only part I really disliked was when the docs/nurses had to press down on the spots where the probes went it - they had to press down hard for about 15 minutes- that wasn't fun but bearable. Then I had to remain lying down (head raised slightly) for 2 and 1/2 hours after that . That part was boring but full of relief that I would be getting out of there fairly soon. It's a lot scarier than it sounds and the medical people doing it are very good at what they do!
Thank you for your feedback hope you have a good recovery
I just had ablation for Afib 2 days ago. It was easy. Woke up clear, rested for 1/2 hr, had ice chips, ate, dressed and left. My first thought on wakening was “I feel good “. Resting for 3 days then I can resume real life. 75 yo female believe I got Afib from covid.
