I had an endometrial ablation of the womb lining in 2018, and I hoped this had resolved my monthly issues. Last August, I was in pain with my tummy and had a stabbing pain in my left ovary. I have had 2 ultra-sound scans and have been advised I have an ovarian cyst on the left ovary. It's 1.5 cm and after my visit to a gynaecologist today, she advised that this cyst could not cause pain. She thinks I have endometriosis and wants to do a laparoscopy to investigate. I am terrified as the risks of damage seem awful. I agreed to the procedure and have to wait 6 months, which is disgusting as I have been waiting since October last year for my first appointment. Has anyone had this procedure?
