APS TEST
Hello Everyone, I tested positive for APS in December after a Pulmonary
Embolism
. I took warfarin 3 Months. My doctor took me off it two weeks ago. They drew blood today for 2nd APS test. Still off warfarin? Should I be concerned about PE? Thanks Adam

Pulmonary Embolism and Rivaroxaban question
Hi, I have had Bronchiectasis and asthma for a number of years and I am also registered disabled with limited mobility. On 19th December 2014 I had a nasty chest infection and several courses of antibiotics and steroids later I developed a pain in the centre of my chest through to my back. After 3 days

Problems after catheter ablation
I was still in AF but suffered massive bruising and swelling in my right leg and was left more breathless than ever, Over the next few days I had numerous tests to figure out why I was so breathless, the main theory being that I had suffered a Pulmonary
Embolism
that had since dissipated leaving no trace

Cerebral Vasculitis (mis)diagnosis/RCVS/vasospasms
It was so bad my first thought was that I was having an
embolism
or heart attack. I woke up my roommate and pleaded with her to take me to the emergency room. We arrived at Imperial Point Hospital in a panic and were not received with the same urgency as we had hoped.

Complicated case. . . .
I recently was diagnosed with a pulmonary
embolism
. My right cephalic vein (arm) is completely occluded. I have been to see a hematologist but she doesn't seem to be interested in helping me since all my blood work is unremarkable as to a cause of the clots.

Pregnant and frightened
In June 2013 I had a serious accident which resulted in multiple fractures and a two week hospital stay. 5 weeks after my accident I developed a Saddle Pulmonary
Embolism
. I had no warning that a crisis was unfolding. Fortunately I rang the ambulance in time and lived to tell the story.

HELLO!!!!!
They were wanting to investigate whether i had a pulmonary
embolism
which i don't but apparently you can have a lower level wide spread more chronic clotting in the lungs which will have to be investigated later.

Migraine + aura: Is there a link?
At first, the specialists suspected he may have a pulmonary
embolism
, but this was found not to be the case. As my father suffered a mild heart attack 15 years ago, he had numerous tests (echo tests, etc) and was given the all clear.

Saw doctor today. All test were clear which is great but he also said I had a negative blood test for ApS.
He looked at my notes and i had a negative test before my son was born but I was still given asprin and fragmin. He repeated the test and will do again in 3 months. If negative again he might take me off warfarin. Im so confused !!! Anyone else had the same thing ? Xx

Question about long haul air travel
I had a dvt in my right leg from behind my knee to my ankle last August. Was on warfarin for 3 months and am doing fine now. Doctor says if I have another dvt will be on anticoagulant for life. Cause of my dvt was a double genetic mutation. I love to travel and especially enjoy cruises, but am nervous

Pulmonary embolism
Hi this week I have been diagnosed with 2 pulmonary embolisms one on each lung. I am 29 years old & this was caused from the contraceptive pill. I am still in shock that I have these & don't know how long recovery will be or anything else apart from the medication I'm on. I was only in hospital 24 hours

Clotting and long haul flights
Hi I would go for evaluation as soon as possible. Clotting with as can happen in any vessel. I have primary as and quite a few other clotting problems hypercoagulation. I have not ben able to fly for twenty years since developing a large cot while flying on lovenox and aspirin as a precaution.

Rivaroxaban v warfarin
Hi. My GP rang me yesterday and wondered if I would be interested in going on to Rivaroxaban. I know this is one of the new drugs but I have been on warfarin for 13 years! She said it would avoid having my INR done and I would not have to worry about testing when we went away. But to be honest that
