Yes I have also lost weight on xarelto. Three months since my massive PE. I put it down to the body "recovering" from the insult as I also had/have right side heart strain. Also on a beta blocker and blood pressure med.
I wish I had lost weight! Alas, rather the opposite - I have to start exercising again, even if only a 20-minute walk every other day....
I started losing weight before the clotting, so I too am fearful of this but have only been met with chuckles and "no, you don't have cancer" any time I have asked. There are many cancers that can go undetected for years, even with blood tests, so I don't think it's ever good to just ignore pertinent symptoms. I have a thorough exam at National Jewish next month, so I will be confident with whatever they do or don't find as they don't leave any stones unturned. A CT scan COULD detect cancer if it was in your lungs, but it wouldn't detect a blood cancer or a cancer that was below your ribcage or above it. Or any skin cancers. If you have suspicions, don't let it go and push for answers. I don't believe it is normal to lose weight on xarelto from what I have researched...
