Picking
My 9yr old ADHD son got into it with our cat and has been picking his face ever since getting scratched. It’s been a month. All when school started. I dont see him do it at home. He used to just twist his hair at school and now he just picks at his face!! 😫. He comes home everyday looking worse.

Does anyone know of psychiatrist or therapist who also focuses on supplements?
Hi Everyone, I recently put my son on Vyvanse and Ritalin and neither of them worked. My psychiatrist was not super responsive during the process and I am currently looking for someone else as a result. I had 3 questions as I start my new search: 1) In my search for someone new, I want to find someone

Starting ADHD treatment at age 17 ?
We didn't have a neuropsych eval done with our Guatemalan adopted son until the end of his freshman year in high school due to increasing struggles with school work. Diagnosis ADHD. We opted to work with a private tutor and executive functioning coach during sophomore year and we all got through it

Adult ADHD Treatment Challenges
Got my diagnosis 8 months ago (Inattentive) and have only seen one doctor. I've taken Adderal, Adderal XR, Vyvanse, Lamotrigine, Bupropion, and Bupropion SR. My doctor thinks I have Cyclothymia and Depression while finding the treatment for ADHD. I don't think any of these medications have worked for

Impax Generic Adderall
Does anyone have experience with the generic of Adderall by Impax? I'm on Vyvanse but I can't afford it anymore and I couldn't afford name brand Adderall so I got a generic but I've heard some bad things about it.

New ADHD - Elvanse and Sertraline: feeling terrible
Hey, I am at the end of my first week of on 20mg of
Elvanse
. I am also taking 100mg a day of Sertraline for my depression and anxiety (although I've heard the need for antidepressant meds often goes once ADHD is correctly diagnosed and the meds are working).

Unmotivated even with my Vyvanse which used to help
I am 61 years old and have absolutely no desire to get moving to do anything. Once I get ready and get started doing housework or get out of the house, I am happy I did, but I can barely begin to get started. I have been on 40 mg Prozac and 300 mg Wellbutrin for nineteen years. About eight months ago

Any ways to get around high cost of Vyvanse?
Does anyone know of any ways to get around the high costs of Vyvanse? I have a high deductible plan and while i have paid literally over 9K in out of network costs i still have $2800 in network deductible to hit. I don't want to put a price on my son's mental health but it's hard to stomach $250+ / mth

Needing to Vent
Hi all, I'm new here, and I'm sure this probably isn't the first post like this, so sorry in advance. I'm just in my head this evening, I don't even know where to begin. I guess that's it, I never know where to begin. Living with ADHD as an adult is so incredibly frustrating (we all know). I was diagnosed

Trying to be a better human!
I'm 31 life long ADHD only diagnosed about a year ago. By the grace of God I have been able to go to work still during COVID. I pray for those stuck at home I couldn't imagine trying to sell cars from home with my wife and 4 kids, all under 10, running wild. But we are slow sometimes, not normal for

Vyvanse trouble?
Hi all! I’m very new to this group but I have some questions. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed 20mg of vyvanse, and it hasn’t been working. Tried 40 today and it’s still not reeeally working. I’m wondering if I’m not taking enough for my weight/stature/age (21)?? I weigh about 280.

New ADHD diagnosis at 48
I have been prescribed lisdexamfetamine (
Elvanse
) to help me and started today on a 20mg dose. So far, in one day, I have felt high, elated, nauseated, exhausted, emotional and anxious!

Feeling “blah” in evenings
I take 30mg cymbalta and 30mg Vyvanse each morning. I find that the Vyvanse works very well for focus and restlessness, but gives me most benefit for about a 4 hour period mid day. I usually have a cup of coffee mid day to extend this a bit but then find that in the evening I start to feel kind of “blah

Managing ADHD in adulthood
I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 11 years old. It has been 10 years since my diagnosis. I noticed that when I went to college, I began to struggle more than ever with my executive functioning skills. How do you manage your ADHD? I currently take 50mg of Vyvanse. However, I feel like I need to do

Need realistic expectations
I’m new here. I am a 42 year old female and I was diagnosed with ADHD combined type when I was 39. I have tried taking Ritalin, Vyvanse and Adderall and I try to learn and practice strategies to deal with the symptoms but so far it feels like a losing battle. I just recently realized that I’m not sure

Help medical treatment
I am 55 years old and my ADDHD is debilitating without my medication. I lost my health insurance in 2018 and had to apply for Medicaid. My doctor of 25+ years does Medicare not Medicaid. I've never had any health problems associated with stimulants. I exhausted my savings on my Dr as I have PSTD

Adderall xr doesn’t seem to work as well?
Hi everyone! So glad I found this resource. I was tAking vyvanse 40mg and adderall 10mg to help me think faster/concentrate for about the last year. For some reason, my dr is against stating a diagnosis. Anyway, It was great for a while but then I had to see a new dr and now my insurance won’t cover
