Hello my name is Alan and I have been diagnosed with ADHD about 2 years ago.
Have been put on elvanse 70 MG a day.
I'm learning about my impulsivity and behaviour relating to my condition.
I would be very interested to hear from people how ADHD has affected their relationships their general behaviour and and no more about other members who have overcome issues relating to ADHD including infertility procrastination problem with making decisions memory etc.
I've also read articles on diet in reference to ADHD and how eating the wrong food can adversely affect people with ADHD so would be very interested to hear from people who who could relate their experiences so they had. I'm also visually impaired and and have been diagnosed with dyslexia. However I'm one of the lucky people who who still have a job in spite of my disabilities.

Hey there! I’m not really on a lot of medications, but just enough to get my day along: I’m on 18mg of Concerta and 32mg of Zoloft.
I’m very VERY impulsive and it seems to affect the way I process social situations, it takes a bit longer for me to realize if I’m being a bit too jittery or loud than usual, so it makes me a bit anxious when talking.
As for procrastination: I'm slowly overcoming that with a new schedule that my behavioral psychiatrist help me set up, and a few motivational pushes from some friends and family of course
I’ve Found out the exercising is the best way to help me relax and get rid of all the pent up impulses and anxiety that I experience on a daily basis, and your right! Food does matter! I can’t take caffeine or chocolate because of its horrible headache it gives me (the medications do that) and snacking on unhealthy food just makes me more pent up and restless. + I think green tea helps me relax.
When I was diagnosed I was almost denying it, however I’ve come to terms with it and I’m sure that there’s a way we can all get along our day if we push ourselves to do it
You are very brave, and with such a situation holding a job is noteworthy, really.
Just like Founder of IKEA was diagnosed with dyslexia too, but look at what wonders were made if he hadn't it. So best of luck on the journey to cure it!
