ADT- Low Total Cholesterol- Low Serotonin in the brain = cause of Anxiety and Depression?
I have been experiencing short bursts of anxiety about topics that seem very irrational to me . They come and go in a period of 12-18 hours. I have had about 6 episodes during the last year. In the beginning my "Scout" voice tried to over ride the negative thinking with rational thinking. During the

road to diagnosis
Hi everyone, I don’t know where to start… it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster so far. It all started when I started getting redness and discolouration in both feet. My GP did a blood test and referred me to my rheumatologist for further assessment. My rheumatologist felt that my feet getting red was

cancer marker 15-3
My moms marker went up from 163 to 332 . She started her second line treatment about 7 weeks ago after being on Ibrance and Femara for around 2 and half years. She is now on faslodex and anfintor. Does this mean its not working ? And if it’s not will they change both meds or just one of them? Thank

Foraminotomy
has anybody had a posterior endoscopic foraminotomy? In particular for bone spurs. I could be looking at this surgery once injections have been exhausted. Would be interested in hearing from people about how they found it, did it work, and crucially what was your post op experience like, pain levels,

First SI, the pain, ouch!
Hello everyone, Asking for help again on my SI journey please 🙏 Yesterday I did my first IM injection into the thigh following a video by a UK GP. It hurt much less than the one I had done in the arm at a clinic 2 weeks ago (to check no allergic reaction) so I thought great, this is the way to go

Update - friend with bronchogenic adenocarcinoma
Hello all, Thanks again for your replies to my original post as a newbie for a friend. She saw her rad/onc today and the PET results are encouraging! No cancer showed up outside the lungs. He recommends she see a thoracic surgeon for her 5 cm mass (golf-tennis ball size) to see if she is a candidate

looking for reassurance or advice
Hello warriors, After exactly 2 years of happily dropping PSA numbers on triplet therapy, my husbands PSA went up this month from .91. To .94 I know MO will say to wait for 3 months of rising PSA before we should panic, but that’s easy for him to say… looking for reassurance as we wait for next months

weird mouth symptoms on Sulfasalazine
Has anyone experienced anything like the following? I’ve been on Sulf for 7 weeks, max dose from 4 weeks. In the last 3 days I’ve had a sore tongue which has now settled but I’ve completely lost my sense of taste. I’ve tested and am negative for covid. I can’t think what else it could be!

Movicol/colonoscopy prep for IBS relief
Hi all, I have predominantly IBS-D but occasionally I have bouts of horrific IBS-C (I can go up to a week without any bowel movements). This is accompanied by horrific bloating/acid reflux and uncontrollable eggy gas. It can go from a few days to months. I’ve had to be signed off work before because

Hello all So after years of a tummy that reacted to certain foods, being diagnosed as gluten intolerant in 2016, really suffering in 2021 and 2022, following a FODMAP diet recommended by my doctor (don’t recommend) and getting to a point where I only ate the same plain things everyday, I finally paid

Good Morning Monday People
Good morning all, I haven't posted in a while since getting my ESA and starting EMDR. I've experienced a lot of improvement and have adjusted well to the Citalopram which leaves me feeling more alive than the Sertraline I was on. I've been feeling contemplative lately about motivation. What are some

New member - Post ET MF (Australia)
I'm 42, married with six children, and I live in Australia. In 2013, I was diagnosed with CAL-R positive ET. I started taking aspirin and managed pretty well. After a spontaneous bleed in my right quadricep, it was discovered that I also had a genetic bleeding disorder, dysfibrinogenemia. After that

Nees help
i’m a 43-year-old guy who’s been diagnosed with Parkinson’s for five years. The meds for Parkinson sort of help. I’ve tried lots and lots of things, but the thing that made me feel the very best was B12. I think I have pernicious, anemia and Parkinson’s. I also have a very low B2 levels. If I don’t
