When is bradycardia afib?
I think I am confused about what is wrong with me. I thought I noticed something wrong with my heartbeat in that it didn't seem to be following the normal procedure of going faster when I exercised then slowing down when I rested. My GP checkef it with a simple EKG and immediately saw something wrong

Dronedarone - 10 Month Update
I have been using dronedarone since my poor experiences on Bisoprolol. See link. https://healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/146725273/bisoprolol-experiences I am delighted to say that things are fine so far. I still get some breakthroughs of about once or twice per month for a few hours. Most importantly

stop this ride,I want to get off. I've had enough. When will it stop.
Many of you know my story: 20 meds over 30 years of depression, hospitalized, ECT, TMS, ketamine, suicidal, behavioral Therapy twice/week, psychiatrist once/week. I was on lexapro for around 13 years but couldn't stand the emotional blunting or "flattening" anymore. No joy in anything. I had a baseline

A slight interruption........
Two weeks ago today, after an uneventful parkrun on the previous Saturday, I set out for my weekly 10k. It became clear after the first couple of k that this was not going to be a good run, so I decided to take it easy. However after 5k I felt really exhausted, so decided to take some walking breaks

Calamity strikes again
Well folks I had a fun day yesterday ... not! Whilst washing the kitchen floor yesterday morning I somehow fell with a kettle full of boiling water. I scalded my leg really badly, my husband called an ambulance which came after 40 minutes. I was blue lighted to our nearest A&E which is 20 miles away

Do you know you can lace your shoes to help fit orthoses/ unusual foot shapes ect
If you do then ignore this but I wish I'd been told this when first given orthoses. Thanks to a high instep, many shoes already didn't fit me properly/where uncomfortable on the bones of my instep so when I was prescribed custom orthoses for collapsing arches thanks to me eds, I found the increased

Bisoprolol
After being on bisoprolol and my other concoction of pills since November 19, I never questioned my cardiologist about other things wrong with me, Example no energy breathlessness ect ect, last night I looked up on the bisoprolol and the side affects, (Dr Internet) I've never felt worse since taking

Post Ablation Dyspnea (Shortness of Breath) and Skipping Beats
Hey All! My quick resume follows; Diagnosed in June 2020 with Afib. Had some but relatively mild symptoms. I was on metoprolol and propafenon for over a year. At one follow up visit, a doctor decided to cut the medication and I was medication free for a year. Then during another 6-month follow up

Working after transfer?
As the title suggests, I’m having a dilemma on whether I should take some time off after transfer or carry on working? I’m a support worker so my day to day work is being out and about, going for walks ect. It can be quite stressful and draining. I’m just wondering what other did after their transfer

Health anxiety
I’m convinced my health anxiety is what keeps my behind and stopping me from moving forward sometimes. I worry so much about my heart all the time I’ve had 3 ekg done all were normal I’ve had a chest X-ray that was normal. I feel one little twitch, pain, bubble, pop on my left side or sternum I think

Downgrading - a post code phenomena?
3 months ago to the day, out of the blue, no other known health problems, I had a severe stroke whilst away from home. Blue light/thrombolised/Lazarus like recovery/ discharged with notes for further investigations to my local stroke team. GP put the request in for ECG holter and Echocardiogram etc.

Extra beats? Missed beats?
Can somebody tell me what these are on my smartwatch ECG? I feel like my hearts skipping beats and this is getting quite frequent now! Had it about a week and not sure why they don’t go away.

Six weeks later. SUCCESS
Six weeks ago I had a rather aggressive ablation. It is on an area called vein of Marshall if you are not familiar it is an area behind the pulmonary artery. Don’t quote me on that it’s around there somewhere lol. As long as my surgeon can find it I’m OK. I have permanent a fib and flutter or did . Monday

Irregular Heartbeat
Morning All, I joined this forum for advice on my husband's heart problems however Ithis week i had Doppler tests on my feet and legs (ok as it turned out) but the nurse told me I had very high BP (160/100) and an irregular heartbeat. I heard this too on the Doppler. She advised me to see my GP quickly
