Diagnosed With Intra Atrial Septal Aneurysm on Echocardiogram
Well, this has to be my worst nightmare! I just got my Echo results last Wednesday, and now have to wait for another type of Echo (bubble test) to see if I also have an Atrial Septal Defect (hole in the heart). These pretty much go hand in hand. I was told that the IASA is a very rare defect - trust

Trametinab Diaries
I had been taken off the trial because my
echocardiogram
had revealed that my ejection fraction had dropped from 60% to about 50%. I was off the trial for about 4 weeks but I am pleased to report that my EF returned to 62%.

I could use some help with my status, recently diagnosed
Twelve days later and an
echocardiogram
..EP.raised Cardizem to 360 abd added flecainide 100 mg twice a day. NSR in 24 hr! Since then I have had a stress test, and then a nuclear stress test. Now stable...but can hardly function. My hr rarely gets to 60. Resting rate often 34 to 38!

What Role Can Occasional Medication Play?
I had a call with my cardiologist today who confirmed that my bubble
echocardiogram
is 'purely to establish size and exact location of the POF'. This has come as rather a shock, as I was hoping this wouldn't be the case. We will be meeting again after my further echo. to discuss surgery options.

Test results (laymens terms would help)
The PFT's showed FEV1 to FVC of 98% TLCO is 84% KCO is 81%
Echocardiogram
demonstrated normal size chambers with mild TR Estimated pulmonary artery pressure was 20-25 They did say that one of the arterys was borderline... ESR is CRP < Creatinine is 91, CK 286, FBC, Urine PCR, LFT normal.

Coronary Spasm v Angina. Any else had a diagnosis swopped?
This might explain why I don't have any problem with exertion and my stress (exertion)
echocardiogram
was also fine. Can anyone give me an idea about spasms, mine seem to come on with emotional stress, so I am trying to sort my lifestyle out!

Back in AF 4 days after Cardioversion Any advice?
Hi Everybody This is my first post on this forum. I have found other posts and reples very helpful and encouraging. I was diagnosed with AF in August. I was stung on the tip of my tongue, had a reaction so I admitted myself to A & E. The sting was sorted by a steriod injection, but they were concerned

Gone from severe to very severe emphysema but things still look promising!
I had an appointment with my lung specialist today for the half yearly review and also results of CT scan,
echocardiogram
, and respiratory tests done to be considered for the procedure where they insert endobronchial nitinol coils to improve lung function.

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Diagnosis...
I haven't been able to find much information on PAH and have no idea how it is treated or how it progresses; however, I am discouraged as my pulmonary doctor simply told me my diagnosis after my CTScan of the chest and the
echocardiogram
and then said "see you in six months."

Hybrid ablation. Mini-maze six months ago. Now its time for the catheter.
I would need an
echocardiogram
at 8:00 p.m. to check for fluid around the heart; as long this was OK, I would be allowed to go home in the morning. Three days later I feel wonderful, quite bruised and a little breathless compared to normal, but nothing like I was after the last procedure.

Because I was feeling really bad, doctor ordered a cardiac stress test which I was able to reach 100%, meaning no problems, however I was ordered a
echocardiogram
transesophageal, which was normal also.

Help Please.
I posted about my dash to hospital ad my Night in Resus with regard to a rapid heart beat - that was back in July of this year. Since then I have been on the medication I was given at the hospital - no one has reviewed or altered the medication or its dosage. I take a Beta Blocker and 2 doses of Apixaban

Waiting for tests
Had all the tests except
echocardiogram
. When having a chest x-ray the radiologist commented on my wide lungs. I let this pass. All heart tests proved nothing. Got told it was the way I was built.

Is it ok to keep doing chores when breathlessness hits?
There was also talk of strain on heart &
Echocardiogram
done, I was not informed of the result. Am home now and starting to pick up some household chores my question is:- Worried about putting any strain on my heart, do I need to stop chores & sit down when breathlessness hits.

Anyone have bradycardia after an SVT episode?
I have had three episodes in the past year of what they think may be SVT. After having one abnormal ekg they put me in a heart monitor for a month, echo-cardiogram, and a second ekg not long after the first. I passed all the lifeline screening tests with excellent health. The cardiologist said my heart

Good Morning from Rainy Manchester
Two weeks ago my medication was stopped because a recent
echocardiogram
show some changes to my ejection fraction. The ejection fraction is a measure of how efficiently your heart is working.

Sore, weak, tired, slightly swollen legs?
I know my heart is ok as I had an
echocardiogram
. So here's the question: any of you guys ever had this too? Is this likely part of the CLL? Interestingly I'd been told I should get flight socks as I'm bracing a short flight tomorrow.
