Hello, new to forum
I recently had an
echocardiogram
and waiting results as well as holter monitor results. I did have one really bad episode whilst wearing the monitor. Hopefully they can figure out what's going on. It's causing me a lot of distress.

New here and just diagnosed with AFib. Need advice please regarding Apixaban.
The consultant suggested I consider going on Apixaban and I am awaiting a stress test,
Echocardiogram
and a 24 hour monitor. My wife and I are going to Japan in two weeks to visit our son for the rugby World Cup. I decided to hold back on the Apixaban until we come back.

Heart Attack Journal
The only other diagnostic tools that I'm aware of are an electrocardiogram (ECG) and an
echocardiogram
. An ECG isn't normally used on otherwise healthy people because the risk of false positives is too high.

Aortic Dissection type A Ascending.........Chronic
I had mine in March 2018, but was not diagnosed until late July 2018 when I had an outpatient
echocardiogram
. I am due to go for six monthly checks,
echocardiogram
, ct with dye etc. Does anyone know the longest time someone has lived with this condition?

Back from the cardiologist
I had a full work up in March in the hospital (ekg-
echocardiogram
-bloodwork-chest x-ray and holter monitor) all came back normal “ besides pvcs pacs and (occasional) svt witch she’s says it all comes from anxiety. I find it soooooo hard to believe.

a few things I learned.
Post procedural
echocardiogram
. (approx 24 hours later) This was something new to me as I had not been given such before so natually I asked why. What they are checking for is any increase in pressure in the right atrium which may result from the transeptal puncture.

Help to decide diagnosis
(I think this was from a recent
Echocardiogram
). And what is NYHA? Any comments or advice gratefully received! I am 73, female and live in the NW of the UK. I have not been referred to an EP and do not know if there are any in this locality.

ECG test results
I am being referred for an
echocardiogram
. The cardiologist didn’t seem too concerned and my chest X-ray and bloods were all clear. However I don’t really understand what the ECG results meant and would be grateful if someone could advise me. Many thanks

Feeling worse after diagnosis
The EP I saw last week has arranged for an
echocardiogram
this Friday and has said he wants to change verapamil to bisoprolol. I'm not convinced about any of this to be honest because I am feeling worse since taking the medication. I'd be grateful for any advice/comments. Thanks.
