dilated left ventricle informed over the phone (heart failure) 1 week ago
aprox a month ago I was sent for a
echocardiogram
to check my heart (routine every 5years ) as my father has a pacemaker since the age of 50 and 5years ago had an aortic aneurysm. 5 years ago I had the same scan which was all clear.

Hospital update
ECG was ok but she’s sending me for an
echocardiogram
and ct scan to be sure. She did wonder if I had a lung problem due to being an ex smoker (only for 2 months) and having had radiotherapy on my left chest for breast cancer 11 years ago.

BTW,

Aortic valve leakage
I’m now going to have an
echocardiogram
. The thing is I had an echo this time last year and nothing was picked up?! I’ve had chest pain and breathlessness on exercise for the past year which my previous cardiologist put down to me having had Covid and said it was likely myocarditis.

Liver transplant advice - missing IVC vein.
No cardiac abnormalities were found on the
echocardiogram
. This issue is also causing portal hypertension due to the back flow of blood. A side note: She’s not been able to conceive naturally and has had 3 M/Cs with medical intervention. We now believe this is the reason behind that.

So scared of skipped heart beats.
I have had a couple of
echocardiogram
as well, all good results. Well, that was all back home in America. I moved to New Zealand in 2012 after I married a man from New Zealand, that was 11 years ago. Anyway, since being here, I didn't have any major heart skips for the 6 years.

echocardiogram
Hi all I was born with TOF I had total correction 45 years ago. Two years ago I had a PVR. Today I went for my annual echo for a check up. It seemed to be mostly red in colour with some blue and very little other colours. There was a lot of red. Is this of concern? I know it depends on the view etc

exercise bike stress echo test
Out of the blue “ping” Apple Watch shows notification of an NHS appointment in late June 2023 for an Exercise Bike Stress
Echocardiogram
Test in London so means another expensive round trip. It was mentioned when met surgeon in April (in London) but nothing said in their letter after.

Leaky Aortic Valve
She sent me for an
echocardiogram
which the technologist said didn’t show LVH but a leaky aortic valve. I haven’t had the official results (not sent to my GP) and my telephone consultation with a member of the Cardiac department has been postponed from June to November.

Survivor 52 - my story
Fast forward to May this year and I had an appointment for an
echocardiogram
turn up, it had been booked by AC. The next day I got a letter from the local hospital, a Cardiac Consultant, whom I had not seen, had signed my episode off as a viral infection.

recent heart attack
Plus I have questions about the results of my
echocardiogram
taken the day after my heart attack/stent that I want answered in plain English. I am just alone in my cottage with pain and breathlessness and no answers. Thank you

Tildiem retard/diltiazem question
I'm not convinced the stress
echocardiogram
is going to show a narrowing. I had one before which was clear and then 18 months later had a 99% blockage in my LAD artery.

Frustrated and Scared
My GP referred me to the arrhythmia clinic who immediately discharged me because they said I had not had an ECG since 2020, which is in fact incorrect as I had an
echocardiogram
in 2021 and an ECG in 2022.

Also I went to see a cardiologist last Tuesday for reassurance basically who put in the appointment for an
echocardiogram
which I have got this Tuesday. Do I get told there and then what it says or would I have to wait for the cardiologist to call me. Thanks

Cardiology check up
I had been concerned as after an
echocardiogram
last June, neither me or my GP had seen any results so the GP had made a referral for me. Since my massive HA backing Oct 2019, my EF is still the same at 31%.

Strange pain concern
Waiting for
Echocardiogram
as well but that will be sometime yet. The pain hasn't gone away and stomach gurgles all day. I have started sweating heavily at night. Have weird feeling in centre of chest and stomach that makes me feel nausea and lightheaded.

Afib in young people (less than 40 years old)
I had blood test,
echocardiogram
and I managed to see a cardiologist privately… The result of tests is that I’m completely healthy and my hearth structure is normal. My heart rate is in acceptable range and my blood cloth risk is very low, so I’m not taking any tablets.

I’ve been told that I will have another
Echocardiogram
in 3 months & if there is no improvement in my EF I will have a device fitted. Any sort of reassurance will be gratefully welcome please.

New diagnosis
The ECG picked up an abnormal heart rate for someone of my age and the doctor send a letter to my GP asking to refer me for an
echocardiogram
. This came through and I was able to book for April.
