Aortic valve leakage

hi

I have had an mri and in a letter my cardiologist said there was evidence of some leakage in the aortic valve. I’m now going to have an echocardiogram. The thing is I had an echo this time last year and nothing was picked up?!

I’ve had chest pain and breathlessness on exercise for the past year which my previous cardiologist put down to me having had Covid and said it was likely myocarditis.

Can a leakage happen in 12 months?
