Recently diagnosed, halfway through treatment
An
echocardiogram
revealed some abnormality, but the angiogram in the theatre showed that my coronaries were actually ok. The conclusion was that the vasculitis had hit the base of my heart and the blood vessel constriction was putting it under massive strain.

Yearly EP visit yesterday
Went to see my EP yesterday, had an
echocardiogram
and an ECG before seeing him. Last year the result of my echo was mild to moderate valve leakage, this year it is classified as mild, he said the senior person did it and I don't have to have another for two years.

Heart worries
GP is now sending me for
echocardiogram
and 24 hour blood pressure monitoring Does anyone think this could be linked in any way? I have rheumatoid arthritis which I take methotrexate for and am also going through the menopause!

Coping with AF
Hi I am new to the site, I found it when researching for support groups on how to cope with AF. I was diagnosed with PAF in April 2016 after several ECG's, holter monitor and echo cardiogram. Initially I was prescribed Bisoprolol (2.5mg once a day) but did experience breakthrough episodes and was then

Heart bypass and valve replacement
An
echocardiogram
revealed a problem with my mitral valve. Further tests now indicate that damage to my mitral valve is not mild to moderate as the echo suggested but moderate to severe with evidence of disease in a blood vessel.

How to get a private appointment with an EP
The problem is that he holds the results of the 7 day monitor and
echocardiogram
. Or would a GP be able to help? I want to get on the NHS waiting list should he/she think an ablation is an option. Not sure what paperwork I will need to accomplish this. Many thanks

Here's a conundrum with a million possible answers...
The cardio did and ECG and
Echocardiogram
. His words: 'There is nothing wrong with your heart'. Nonetheless, I do have to wear a monitor for 24 hours at the end of the week. I have pondered this for a while now. The only thing that strikes me is Levo is T4 and there is T4 in Thyro-Gold.

Well I didn't expect this!
Hi, I'm 48, fit as a fiddle (or so I thought), then started getting palpitations for no apparent reason. Luckily my wife made me go to my GP and he diagnosed AF - the random kind. So, I've had an echo cardiogram, CT angiogram and that was abnormal so having a coronary catheterisation next, just to confirm

Unhelpful Dr's, can you help?
I just received a letter with an appointment for an
echocardiogram
. I rang the hospital to see if this was made off the back of my bloods but again, no one can tell me anything. You guys are always helpful so my question is, is this a routine test?

Isolated aortitis
To cut a long story short, he said that there may still be some inflammation present and I am scheduled to have a PET scan and an
echocardiogram
for persistent breathlessness and tachycardia. He has also consulted with the vasculitis team at Freeman hospital, Newcastle to further discuss.

A newbie with worries about dental treatment!
When I was diagnosed with AF after an
echocardiogram
(no mention of type - paroxysmal or permanent) and absolutely no advice or information from cardiologist ("atrial fibrillation - nothing to worry about we will just tweak your meds") nor from the GP I saw at the time, and no follow-up for blood tests

Should I be chasing for answers?
For the past year I have been suffering from an irregular heartbeat, intermittently. On 18th February this year having an episode that had lasted over three hours, I was taken by ambulance to A&E. Paramedics recorded my heart rate at 37 bpm with a pause of 1.6 seconds. By the time I arrived in A&E it

New to AF
Fortunately, Benenden Healthcare helped with the cost of the
echocardiogram
and 7 day monitor but it has still been an expensive journey. My cardiologist is very good and suggested drug therapy before considering the surgical route. 3 weeks of Flecainide nearly killed me off!

Newbie to this a fib thing
I was just diagnosed with a fib at my yearly physical. EKG and Echo cardiogram confirmed it. I'm now on warfarin. But I think I've had this quite awhile with heart flutters, heart pounding issues and rapid pulse even while sedentary. I'm wondering what other symptoms should I be looking for. I'm experiencing

Second opinion or move on?
I posted maybe a month ago about some left side pain....Chest, jaw, arm, shoulder. This has been going on for almost 6 months. I've had blood work, chest x-rays, EKGs, stress test with echo cardiogram, all of which were normal. My primary sent me to a rheumatologist because he feels strongly that this

Help newly diagnosed and feel so sick! 😢
I've appointments for lung tests and
echocardiogram
which worry me too. I feel like I'm trapped in a vicious circle of symptoms anxiety and seeing my health decline over the last 14 months. I've just got help to fill out my pip forms which I've been avoiding.
