8 years and still waiting for answers!
Hi, I am new here and am seeking some support for my pain. In a nutshell, I have been suffering with pain for 8 years now on a constant daily basis. I had a hysterectomy 11 years ago which was fine but then developed pain and urgency in my bladder area. I had a cystocele repair 7 years ago, but that

Menopause injection
Hi everyone hope you're well, I'm 18 and I've been put on the menopause injection called prostar I think. I've had two of the injections now and it's been about 3 weeks since I last had it and I've noticed no difference in pain but all the symptoms of the menopause. They've put me on this whilst I'm

Am I stupid!!
My last mail's concerned the great pain I was feeling in my knee and the reaction of my GP and the MSK clinic where I was seen by a glorified physio though expecting to see a consultan. She had my history and x-ray and basically told me that the pain was a "defensive".reaction. I have since realised

Losing all hope
So the good news is I've been referred by my GP to a gynae who specialises in endo at the QEUH. Today I was crippled in pain, I was on the floor crying, unable to move, all before work. And then 20 minutes later, I look normal again.... That's the worst part. People thinking you're fine because you

NiCCC BIBF1120 trial
Hello Ladies, Does anyone have experience of the above trial? Two weeks ago I went for my end of chemo CT scan and follow up. I wasn't expecting the news I received, despite optimal debulking a tumour has regrown in my small bowel and the lesions in my liver which I was told were benign are solid tumours

How do we feel about NHS treatment?
I know there was a thread about this recently but I went to see the practice nurse at my GP's yesterday (she has been overseeing my care for the past couple of years and is fantastic) and she said she was appalled by some of the care I've received, and that I must just think the NHS is a disaster that

All gone downhill post-op!! Please help
This is a little rant / beg for help! So I've been suffering with every endo symptom in the book for 7 years and I finally got to have a diagnostic lap under a general gynaecologist on June 30th of this year. I was under for 2 hours and when I woke up I was told everything appeared normal but he wanted

Hi everyone :-) I'm currently taking zomorph 30mg twice daily (slow release morphine) pregablin 200mg twice daily and I have oramorph for breakthrough pain. None of which are currently working. I'm in so much pain mainly in my back and can hardly move. I've an appointment with my GP on Friday to see

Anyone changed their District Nurse?
I'm considering whether to ask to see a different nurse. She's told me, if I take 5mls oramorph and it hasn't worked in 5 minutes, tale more. But it seems to take about 30 mins to start and 60 for all the pain to go. She also told me I couldn't od on oramorph but I can't believe that's true. I found

Feeling really down at the moment... started prostap injections on 22nd May. Had 2nd one last week. Still in pain and taking 30/500mg co-codamol 4 times a day and oramorph when needed. When does the pain subside?? Really pulling my mood down and crying often. My husband doesn't care and endometriosis

Chronic knee pain
This is my first message and I live in the UK. I have had two injections in the knee joint to no effect. Apparently the joint is degrading and the nerve in the inside of the leg is damaged and the a pain is unbearable without excessive amounts of oramorph and anitripylin. I feel like a complete Zombie

Hello, I'm new here but have had symptoms for many years
Hello there I've been looking at this site frequently since I discovered it. I'm amazed by the amount of knowledge here and am hoping I can pick up some tips. I was diagnosed with CCP Pos RA in 2013, although I had joint symptoms for about 5 years before. They diagnosed Palindromic RA, but I think I
