LDN treatment for Parkinsons
I would like to know why LDN has not become a more widely accepted medication for the treatment of Parkinsons. It certainly has taken off for MS, with Neurologists all over the country prescribing it. As articles this year point to increasing evidence that Parkinsons is an autoimmune system disease

Anemia cause RLS
I don't know if everyone here know this, as I never but one of the biggest things to cause RLS is anemia, nobody checked me for this and I have had RLS since being very ill with Sepsis last December, only recently it has come out how low my blood levels was and I had a transfusion and am now on iron

Always do your own research. Trust no one, especially me.
Magnesium may actually INHIBIT dopamine release. Very bad for RLS. I have to do much much more research. Years ago I did a lot of research on magnesium and the heart and felt confident that it was a miracle drug (given intravenously) for anyone in atrial fib. But RLS??? http://www.researchgate.net

South Korea
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19725258 The incidence of RLS in South Korea is ridiculously low. Maybe genetics, or maybe all that spicy kimchee that they eat. Seems like heat, be it from a hot bath or hot food releases endorphins and dopamine.

Neurologist at last!
After waiting 7 months for an appointment yesterday I finally seen a neurologist about my legs driving me insane! He was a great doctor and has said that it is likely RLS and is convinced that my problem is caused by dopamine imbalance as opposed to something more physical. However, he is very reluctant

Is RLS really progressive?
Or is mother time just doing her dirty deed on our (and everyone's) dopamine receptors? Maybe we RLSers just feel the decline more than your average human who has more and better dopamine receptors to begin with? Isn't it somehow comforting to think that maybe we don't really have a progressive/degenerative

Haldol Injection for Parkinsons Patient!!! PART 1
Can't find a sufficient word to express the magnitude of the horror I am now living. I already HAD drug induced Parkinsons diagnosed in 2006. It was a fairly moderate case other than balance and severe executive functioning only cognitive disorder. It had been stable over the last 2 yrs or so. I've been

Is it me or did I just miss a decade?
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1924754/ This 2006 article talks about augmentation and tolerance. It goes on to state that augmentation was rearing its ugly head in 1996 and was very clear to doctors in the field of RLS exactly what was happening to their patients on the dopamine agonists

Hi, I have had thyroxine for an underactive thyroid now for nearly a year and my blood tests keep coming back normal but I still have many of the symptoms I first went to the doctor with. Is anybody else experiencing this? My initial symptoms were very typical, feeling tired and cold all the time, hair

Trouble with Sinemet dosing
Diagnosed with tremor intensive PD 2001. Started Sinemet end 2012, 3x100mg /d as I was getting weaker. I sailed along OK for about one year, then suddenly one to two hours after taking a dose I would go into almost a convulsion like state with intense tremor and weakness. I learned that I was not allergic

Anyone who is taking these and you are worried, i would contact your doctor and have a chat with them. I have noticed these pills are a dopamine antagonist. Altho when i have taken them, it hasnt made any difference to my RLS. http://www.mhra.gov.uk/Safetyinformation/DrugSafetyUpdate/CON418518
