ADHD/Shopping Addiction, struggling to be financially responsible....
I've always had a shopping addiction, especially related to clothes. In college, I would order packages every week and walk all the way across campus to the mail center, and it would be so excited to carry that package home, try on the clothes I'd ordered from Forever 21, just bask in that rush of dopamine

New to the forum, newly diagnosed, need some encouragement
Hi everyone, I recently got diagnosed with ADHD this past september 2020. Prior to that I battled with depression and an eating disorder. I have felt very alone through this journey...I am currently 28 years old. I suppose you can say I have been very high functioning while compensating for my struggles

Surely this can't be right
Hello I am currently taking clonazepam half a tablet every other night as my GP was concerned about the addictive nature of the drug. It does help a little but still up every night 2/3 times but managing to get about 5/6 hrs which is a lot better than I've had at other times. I had a private neurologist

Some RLS experiences which might possibly be helpful in understanding the condition
I am 69 and I have had RLS with increasing severity for 50 years. I appreciate that everyone’s experience is different, but I would like to offer a few observations to add to the pool of anecdote which might help lead to a deeper understanding of the condition. First of all, my variant of RLS involves

Claimed improvement in symptoms following dental treatment.
As someone who is terrified of the dentist (with consequent rare attendance) I found this interesting. Particularly, as I now have to visit one very soon. In my experience, the Japanese are not prone to hyperbole/exaggeration... also you might prefer to skip the 'treatment' part of the video clip 😬

Rebuilding the substantia nigra?
I never believed I had PD. Although I have tremor in my dominant hand I don't have the other common signs. I don't freeze, I don't move slowly, I don't have balance problems. I don't have "Off" periods. Once during a race three years ago I kept falling while walking up a steep hillside. I

What is your fix?
My psychiatrist told me that a person with ADD usually have a “fix”, something that gets the dopamine to rush through his veins, something that calms down the restlessness. Things like tobacco, drugs and alcohol are common fixes but others find their fix in activities where they can hyper focus. If not

Temgesic Experience
I'd like to ask how others are getting on with Temgesic. I started on 200mcg (1 tablet) Temgesic last November and it immediately made such a difference to my nights - I finally slept right through! However after 3 months I needed to up the dose to 1.5 tablets (cut in half) and occasionally 2 tablets

Hi! Just joined and could really use some help and support.
First, I apologize for my long post. It has been difficult to find support, so I'm kind-of pouring it all out right now. My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD right before the pandemic hit, and while we have several concerns and lots of questions, we do not have much support to address those

How Calories from Sugar/simple carbs, are different than calories from other food.
Most adult males require about 2,500 calories to maintain body weight. Most doctors will tell you that maintaining body weight is about calories in and calories out, regardless of caloric source. 3 teaspoons of sugar and one apple are calorically equal – about 50 calories. Theoretically, if you ate
