Alendronic Acid and diverticulosis
since my Rheumy discovered I have two fractured vertebra, she is insisting I take AA. At my Dexa scan last summer AA was suggested but left to my decision as it showed ostopaenia not osteoporosis. I took AA last weekend and experienced heartburn, indigestion and difficulty and some pain swallowing. I

Diverticulosis
found, which I already knew about from a colonoscopy a few years ago. Biopsies taken. Yesterday bowel felt fine, however today I am in quite a bit of lower bowel pain. Just wondering why I felt fine for couple of days & pain starts on day 3. Has anyone else experienced this?

Amitriptyline
Hi Saw GP yesterday for my ongoing IBS type symptoms (not officially diagnosed) I have
diverticulosis
though. He has prescribed me a low dose of the above medication, which I’ve yet to start taking. Has anyone on here taken them for IBS? I would love to hear your thoughts & experiences.

laxido IBS C. Intussusception, rectocoele and diverticulosis
hi all, I’d be grateful for anyone else’s experience with any of the above conditions. I take laxido every day and have taken them for about 2 years now. They make the stool softer to avoid diverticulitis but I still can’t have a BM by myself and need an enema. Does anyone else need these. along

Desperate & fearful.
But if I could just get some understanding of this
Diverticulosis
/ Diverticulitis it would be a great help. I know everyone on this site has there own issues so wish you all some contentment.

However I looked at results and it says
diverticulosis
and I have cysts on pancreas. Why would they tell me ok?

Overdue Update
I already had been diagnosed with
Diverticulosis
some years ago but didn’t think this was the cause. However after certain tests I was fast tracked for a Sygmoidoscopy in August, which revealed Severe
Diverticulosis
, Stage 2, but fortunately nothing sinister was found.

Colonoscopy
Anyway, the scope was clear of cancer, or polyps but confirmed what I already knew from a previous scope seven years ago - I have
diverticulosis
, severe in parts. A diverticulitis flare up prompted this whole episode.

Diet?
I do most definitely have gut problems and have done for years , starting decades ago with probable ibs which seemed to resolve and now I have had a couple of diverticulitis flares and a confirmed diagnosis of
diverticulosis
, severe in the sigmoid colon.

Tenesmus etc
I had a colonoscopy last year which found some
diverticulosis
, although when recently my GP examined me, this was not found. I started sulfasalazine last October for my RA and over the last few weeks my bowel habits have worsened - very soft stool, bouts of diarrhea and tenesmus.

Colonoscopy update
It transpires I have a very diseased bowel due to
diverticulosis
and they weren’t able to complete the procedure so I will have to return in the new year for a CT scan to look at area they couldn’t reach.

Had a CT scan was diagnosed with Iitesis and
diverticulosis
. I was referred to gastroenterologist asap. Unfortunately, I googled everything, and I’m convinced I have colon cancer or some type of cancer.

Constipation
I had one five years ago and it was "perfect" except for some
diverticulosis
, lower left. I have about 1 diverticulitis attacks a year. Nothing severe enough to go to the hospital. The last bout, however, resulted in all this. My rectum feels as though it is blocked. I don't know what to do.
