I am 78and suffer nightly presssure in my sigmoid colon which wakes me up I have been diagnosed with diverticulosis A heat bag and buspacan ease it until it becomes unbearable. by 5am or 6. A bowel motion does not ease it and the pain then extends to my abdomen BEcause I get so anxious And suffer panic attacks. Colonoscopy was clear other than the diverticulosis Any suggestions please

l have exactly this. I have found that if I use a glycerin suppository to have a bowel movement before bed I do not wake up in as much pain . I have scattered Diverticula from Caecum to Rectal Sigmoid. I drink a lot of peppermint tea nowadays with honey to try to help.
