Do I need to take folic acid?
Hi there, I've seen a lot of people say that your folate level should be in the top third of the range while getting B12 injections. Mine, before injections, was 7.0 ng/ml (3.4 - 10.4) which seems right in the middle, so can anyone tell me, should I take folic acid? I'm also on ferrous fumarate because

WARNING about iron supplementation
For nearly 2 years I've been prescribed ferrous fumarate by my GP. Yesterday my consultant rang me and while discussing my thyroid medication also alerted me to the fact that the body can only take-up 15 mg of ferrous fumarate per day. Afterwards I went to check the dose I am taking and it is 280 mg

What vitamins to take and when..
I have tried searching through the threads to find the answer to this but seemingly can’t work it out myself! I have to take Levothyroxine 75mg so I take that at 6am every morning and wait for at least an hour before eating and two hours for my bladder medication. My GP has advised I have to take

Continuous low ferritin levels
Hello For several years now, I've been in a cycle of symptoms of anaemia, which blood tests have proved to be the case. Treatment has been doses of iron, which up my haemoglobin and ferritin levels - and investigations to rule out bowel and gastro cancers. All clear. In March 2017 my blood test showed

Supplies from Germany have arrived.
Hi everyone, I now have my supply of ampoules and needles as I'm sick of trying to explain to my numpty GP that every 8 weeks is not enough. It is 4 weeks since I had the last shot at the surgery and I'm feeling rubbish again most of the symptoms have come back, terrible burning in my feet and legs,
