Cardio version
Had my DC cardio version on Wednesday . Nothing to it. Went in at 0730, INR ECG done , put to sleep for 15 mins, 1 shock later and I'm back in NSR. But for how long ? And how will I know when / if I revert ? I'm in PAF so I've never felt any episodes of the kind I read on the forums. And I feel exactly

The telegraph published an article about the heart yesterday and added at the end that a new report , that was quite comprehensive, has proved that 20 percent of people taking digoxin for af are at risk of death when comparing it to another type of heart regulator drug....any views....

Internal Cardioversion
Has anyone had an internal cardioversion...I am very undecided whether to have this procedure......the only effects I have from persistant Af are brethlessness & the occasional fleeting chest & neck pain......which I could live with (does it get worse).......I am taking warfarin & digoxin.

What do i do now?
I had cardioversion on 3 June and after one shock i was back in normal rhythm. Yesterday i started to get breathless again and have had a fair few palpitations. Used the Arythmia Aliance ap on my mobile and it shows that i am slipping back into AF. Not constant like before but i had about 5/6 episodes

What causes the dizziness associated with atrial fibrillation
having failed rhythm control I am now on rate control which is reasonably satisfactory. I normally get one attack a fortnight which last for 6 to 8 hours and I am normally capable of doing heavy physical labour even during an attack. Sometimes however, normally at the start of an attack I have trouble

Have been told that Ramipril can cause AF. I take 10mg along with Bisoprolol 7mg, digoxin 250mg and furosemide 40mg,warfarin
for high bp and AF which has become persistent since November when I had bronchitis and then pleural effusion. Does anyone take this same concoction or know more about Ramipril.

Cardiologist says, "Keep up the exercise!"
Just back from cardiologist appointment. In spite of having AF, I've been told I have a perfectly healthy heart. I cycle 25 miles a week and run about 5 miles a week with no ill effects. I will be fitted with a heart monitor for 24 hours in a few weeks. Will keep you posted as to how that turns out.

DIGOXIN
I have just started taking DIGOXIN ( 62.5 micrograms) as an additional to BISOPOLO ( 10mg ) to slow my heart rate. I am concerned by a medical reports that there is an increased risk of death for patients with specific heart problems using DIGOXIN Any one else using or have used this drug, or any

Hi everyone , had my cardio version yesterday , heart a little stubborn took the three shocks to work !
Feel ok, chest feels a bit batterd but a small price to pay. Resting heart rate after was still ninty so that was a little disappointing has anyone else had the same? Still on warfarin for six weeks , digoxin dropped , verapermil until I see docs to sort bp out as v high. Resting now and praying it stays

Furosmide and Digoxin, Warfarin and salbutamol?
I have scaring to my lungs both inside and outside, which has given me 53% lung function. So I now have to take Furosmide water tablets for a month to see if that helps when I am flat? My O2 drops when I am flat. He stated that my graph showed that I was consistently bad even after my salbutamol blast

Digoxin and A/F.
Hello everyone, my E.P. is trying me on Digoxin as well as the Bisoprolol and High Blood Pressure medication that I am already taking. I was wondering if anybody who is taking Digoxin has any side effects etc. and I believe there was a study not so long ago about taking Digoxin for

6 days of hell and it continues
I'm just out of hospital (Thurs) after spending 6 days there with my pulse racing up to 160bpm and an irregular rate. You may remember that I had a 6hr ablation at the end of June this year. Well, I've now been diagnosed as having AF and atrial flutter. It was the worst period I've ever experienced.

Is there anyone else in Sydney having problems with medical funds over an ablation?
This is my problem. I have a history of heart problems. It started with an aortic valve replacement and then AF attacks , clots and now PAF which is now controlled by drugs. Daily 125mg digoxin 80 mg Sotalol 10 mg bisoprolol This all causes other problems - now I have an enlarged aorta - left bundle
