Digoxin
Shows how dangerous it is to read the papers! I understand that digoxin has other benefits in heart care so it may well be that you are taking it for reasons other than or as well as your AF. If you are worried . speak to your doctor.
Am abroad for some time....it was only prescribed for my af ..I have no other conditions and also have no symptoms of af but have now read Sandford uni review which is quite clear in stating you should change to another drug....also never see consultant ...he discharged me nine years ago and told me to come back when I was 75.... I was in my early 50' s then....and have been taking the above and warfarin ..losarten and bisoprol ever since...on a repeat prescription basis tried two ablations...last one put me into perm af....so have been on my own ......
If you read the article about the 1400 people it has a statement from a Doctor, can't remember maybe a Dr Ahmed and he says the report is completely biased....then another interpretation of the same 1400 people found there was no increase in death at all....so I think these reports are likely slanted depending on what the research group is being paid to find. I have just started taking it and feel it might be making me feel tired so some concern there in that regard. Also Digoxin is a cheap drug , so the drug companies probably want us on the more expensive drugs
