Have just spent a week in Hospital with chest infection which has agrevated my A/F and given me slight heart failure. How long to recover ?
This came on by feeling a bit breathless six weeks ago. I am still feeling tired and rough a lot on the time saw heart failure nurse today who put me on Ramipril as well as Bisoprolol 5mg twice per and Digoxin 125mcg per per day. Any advice would be appreciated.

Permanent AF for 23 Years
I am 58yrs with AF for 23 yrs, and treated with high dose digoxin and 75mgs aspirin with no real issues. Recently had double CABG due to severe lesion in Left Main Artery, after a mild NSTEMI in June. Recovery is good, but suffering badly from anaemia with haemoglobin levels at 118/121 g/l. Cryo-balloon ablation completed Nov. 5
Hi All, I am currently recovering from my cryo-ablation. I decided to write about my experiences as to possibly help others. This forum had been such a great place for support and learning for me that I want to give something back. I often commented on the forum, but I never fully introduced myself in

Digoxin
Does anyone take a low dose of digoxin daily to prevent AF? It was described by the A&E doctor following my first post ablation AF. I had gone 3 years plus without AF. In the notes with the digoxin it states lowers heart rate. Mine is normally 58/62 so I don't want it any lower. I still haven't

Foxgloves !
I’ve just had 2 days of heart irregularity, ectopics etc. On Monday I was planting lots of foxglove seedlings. Could there be a connection - digoxin etc.

Utter Confusion!

6 months since ablation
This week I hit the six month anniversary of my last ablation. Life in general is pretty good. When I saw my EP last month he took me off Digoxin and halved my beta blocker. Since I reduced the drugs I’ve had two short episodes of AF and one of Tachycardia. My EP has said to stay on the low dose of Atenolol

I am new here Im 57 Male and i have had paroxysmal Afib for about 2 years. My episodes consist of a heart rate in the 150 to 100 usually all over the place for about 6 hours then i convert back to sinus rhythm. unfortunately when i would convert i would have long pauses, the longest one was 7 seconds

Digoxin
My GP has taken me off Digoxin for no apparent reason. This appears to be the only pill that I was prescribed specifically for AF at the time of diagnosis so I don't understand why. I'm obviously going to have to see him but in the meantime, can anybody help? I'm particularly worried what the results

AF and Digoxin
Yesterday I saw a different cardiologist as my normal one has left the hospital. He said he said he thought I had moved from Paroxysmal AF to Permanent AF. He also said I now have to take Digoxin as well as the Sotolol 80 mg x 2 daily and 150mg Dabigatran twice daily. He informed me I may have

Bisoprolol and Heart Flutter
Hi, this is the first time I have written and hope someone can give me some sort of idea as to what is going on. In November last year I had mitral and tricuspid valve repairs. All was going well until about a fortnight post op when overnight my resting heart rate shot up from 60 to 140 bpm. After

Bisoprol
Hi. Have been asked to change my meds, at present taking apixaban, Lipitor, digoxin, and adizam. Asked to drop adizam and add bisoprole. All the post on here seem to give bisoprol the thumbs down, so can any of you let me know some good accounts of this drug. Regards Val

EP Update
I saw my EP this afternoon who, like me, is very happy with how things are progressing. It’s now nearly 5 months since my last ablation. He has said to go off Digoxin and half the dose of my beta blocker (Atenolol). I’ll stay on my anticoagulant. My next appointment with him is in six months but he
