6 months since ablation
This week I hit the six month anniversary of my last ablation. Life in general is pretty good. When I saw my EP last month he took me off Digoxin and halved my beta blocker. Since I reduced the drugs I’ve had two short episodes of AF and one of Tachycardia. My EP has said to stay on the low dose of Atenolol

Advice on Afib after Catheter Ablation
I am new here Im 57 Male and i have had paroxysmal Afib for about 2 years. My episodes consist of a heart rate in the 150 to 100 usually all over the place for about 6 hours then i convert back to sinus rhythm. unfortunately when i would convert i would have long pauses, the longest one was 7 seconds

Digoxin
My GP has taken me off Digoxin for no apparent reason. This appears to be the only pill that I was prescribed specifically for AF at the time of diagnosis so I don't understand why. I'm obviously going to have to see him but in the meantime, can anybody help? I'm particularly worried what the results

AF and Digoxin
Yesterday I saw a different cardiologist as my normal one has left the hospital. He said he said he thought I had moved from Paroxysmal AF to Permanent AF. He also said I now have to take Digoxin as well as the Sotolol 80 mg x 2 daily and 150mg Dabigatran twice daily. He informed me I may have

Bisoprolol and Heart Flutter
Hi, this is the first time I have written and hope someone can give me some sort of idea as to what is going on. In November last year I had mitral and tricuspid valve repairs. All was going well until about a fortnight post op when overnight my resting heart rate shot up from 60 to 140 bpm. After

Bisoprol
Hi. Have been asked to change my meds, at present taking apixaban, Lipitor, digoxin, and adizam. Asked to drop adizam and add bisoprole. All the post on here seem to give bisoprol the thumbs down, so can any of you let me know some good accounts of this drug. Regards Val

EP Update
I saw my EP this afternoon who, like me, is very happy with how things are progressing. It’s now nearly 5 months since my last ablation. He has said to go off Digoxin and half the dose of my beta blocker (Atenolol). I’ll stay on my anticoagulant. My next appointment with him is in six months but he

Digoxin for persistent AF - side effects?
I have already posted this morning, but would like like to know how others have got on with Digoxin? I have just been prescribed it for persistent AF and feeling v nervous about taking it, having read the possible side effects. I was on Amiodarone for 2 years and felt the same about that initially

"Slave to the rhythm" - again!
I have been in persistent AF since 28th Feb, having had to come off Amiodarone (which worked well at controlling my AF but the side effects of the over active thyroid made me feel really ill). I referred myself back to an EP I had seen once previously as is hopeless trying to see someone on the NHS at

How to check heart rate?
My heart rate is in the 70 and 80s so why is this called AFib..? I do have days when my heart rate is 120 to 140. I am on Eliquis, Digoxin and Verapamil .Monitor self with Kardia which really helps since I do not know if a radical pulse rate is accurate.

Digoxin question
I am a nurse and am hoping your Dr gave you some parameters of what your pulse should be before taking dig daily. Generally if your pulse is slower than 60 you should not take dig that day . Do you take your pulse daily? Check with your Dr if he hasn't given you any parameters
