how soon after a lap and treatment can I excercise
I recently had a lap and
diathermy
for severe endo and a cyst removal, how soon after can I exercise like running or sit ups weights etc? I still have bruising on the outside so I presume it will be like that internally?

Laparoscopy with diathermy & cystectomy. How long till I feel better??
Last Monday night I had lap with
diathermy
. Doc told me, while I was still groggy may I add, that she found bad endo& quite deep, burnt it off and also removed cyst from Fallopian tube. It's getting me down how low and sore I still feel.

14 years and counting.....!!
Diathermy
(lasering) was not even discussed back then, however, after my op I was put on the contraceptive pill on back to back packets so that I would not have any periods & the growth of the endo would be controlled & therefore pains & periods were meant to be non existent.

2 months following laparoscopy and symptoms return
I had my laparoscopy which included
diathermy
to remove the endometriosis on new years eve this year. I have just had my third period since the lap, (the first two were almost pain-free for me) and it was horrendous.

I had
diathermy
on the endo but I was just wondering if this will increase my fertility chances. I am 43 years old and been trying for a family for 8 years. My consultant has now told me to take Cerazette but I am reluctant to take in in case the
diathermy
improves my fertility chances.

Irregular spotting and chronic pain - previously been diagnosed with endo but no treatment for years.
Hello i have had diagnosis of endo for about 10 years, but after last lap several years ago, where I was told I had a minimal amount and the
diathermy
of this did not help symptoms, I resolved not to address it anymore.

Lap was cancelled and is now on New Years Eve...quick symptoms question?
Their excuse was that the
diathermy
machine had broken. My fiance was waiting for me in the recovery room said that he overheard the nurses saying that it was just that it was getting a bit late. Couldn't even believe that I'd waited four months for that and now it has to be on New Years Eve!

Worried about weight, will they do lap if it is needed? And wondering if anyone in similar situation can advise on methods?
For a bit of background, I've had loop
diathermy
on my cervix for CIN 1 in 2006, and 3 transverse incision emergency c-sections (in 2006, 2007 and 2008). I've heard that if you've had c-sections they prefer to do abdominal incision.

Details of my Laparoscopy 7th August 2012
My surgery lasted around 3 hours and I was shown some pictures of my insides before and after surgery which was great as I could see the difference that the surgeon had made, he had used
diathermy
to take away the adhesions, unstick my bowel from my womb and he mobilised my ovaries and tubes as they

Has anyone had a lap to separate bowel, uterus and pelvic wall?
In addition my consultant will perform
diathermy
/excision of any remaining endo and take some photos. I've now been on Prostap and Mirena coil for the last 2.5 months and am hoping that this will have shrunk the endo back a bit.

Why are women still being treated with diathermy when it does not work?
I have refused as
diathermy
is leaving me riddled with adhesions which are causing so many problems for me. I need excision surgery but my health board does not offer this yet!
