Psychedelics anti inflammatory can help neurodegeneration?
Came across this video while looking for info on anti inflammatory effects of psychedelics. Last week I tried for first time a small dose. Though I didn’t get any hallucinations or visuals I did spontaneously laughed a lot and it felt cathartic and to my surprise I felt 30-40% improvement in my PD symptoms

Success (I hope) with Gabapentin
I have had RLS for more years than I can remember. For years I took mirapexin till I augmented. I tried Pregabalin but I felt dizzy all the time and I put on a lot of weight quickly. I started tramadol and then alternated between that and mirapexin ( yes I went back on it). I coped like this for a long

Neuromodulation for RLS

It does point out the difficulties in using this therapy, as results are short lived after the treatment

DIY Parkinson's Glove Users - How are you adjusting?
Hi I'm interested in anecdotal information from those who are using a DIY version of a vibrotactile glove specifically on how you have adjusted (or not adjusted) your medication over the course of your glove testing. I'm trying to see if there are any trends that would imply that this is replacing

Still can't tolerate thyroid medication, housebound 26 F, very hypo and hypo adrenals, on HC 25mg
Hi guys..does anyone have any advice. I am house bound 26 year old female for over a year now. I was put on HC 25 mg by an endo because he suspects non classical congenital adrenal hyperplasia. My adrenals are completley exhausted. I no longer make enough catecholamines also confirmed by a neurotransmitter

Gabapentin post dopamine treatment (Aripiprazole)
Hello, I took Aripiprazole during 12 years, suffered from augmentation symptom (went to 20mg daily which is a big dose). I think that taking such dose can damage dopamine receptors and lower Gabapentin efficiency, right? Any of you can send me some links to read more about this? or giving me more

DO YOUR RESEARCH. Cure yourself.
PXN21 has worked wonders for all my symptoms. I have been having symptoms of Parkinson’s/IBS for several years now which have progressively gotten worse. Now mind you I’ve never been diagnosed with anything, the key thing is catching all these things early and treating them, not just treating the symptoms

Trying to determine the right pace for tapering use of Neupro
I have started my second attempt at withdrawing for a dopamine agonist. This time Neupro. The first attempt was Mirapex. SueJohnson suggested I switch to different medication, but an appointment with my neurologist here in Brasil is not so easy to get so I would like to continue to decrease my intake

Researchers Develop "Two-Headed" Drug to treat Parkinson's Disease
Although the following research is in its infancy, it has merit and looks promising. In particular that they want to try and make it a oral bio-active medicine. Researchers have created a ‘two-headed’ drug that prevents the production of the toxic protein linked to Parkinson’s disease before destroying

Dr Berkowski Article on Dopamine Agonists Oct '23.
https://www.calameo.com/sleeplabmagazine/books/006372046fb2b80cd3776 Dr Berkowski is one of the top US experts on RLS and he firmly believes dopamine agonists cause permanent damage to dopamine receptors. This means pregabalin and gabapentin often don't work for us, nor do iron infusions. It may be helpful

Looking for comments on this opening info sheet.
I am a doctor who got interested in RLS over 6/12 ago when my wife's RLS went crazy when she was trying to use Phenergan (sedating antihistamine) to sleep. After a couple of sleepless night she was a mess and complained "And there is no treatment for restless legs!!". I thought that could not be right

Phenelzine
it worked for me incredibly well. No restless legs going on2 years. Phenelzine is a maoMao inhibitor with the differencethaydifference that it only raises dopamine in the central nervous central system. LIfe changer for me, but make you talk to a drDr, so many medicines can interact.

UK Hospitals-Dopamine Agonists
I just had an appointment with a head pharmacist at St George's hospital in Tooting, London about my next MS drug treatment. We somehow got onto the subject of RLS and he surprised me by actually knowing about the disease and that dopamine agonists are bad news. He said that St George's do NOT prescribe

Feel terrible in the morning
Good morning everyone! For a while now I wake up ( I haven’t slept well in years) feeling terrible. I feel better about 20 minutes after taking my first daily dose of mucuna powder, which for me works as well as the C/L. 25/100. I am extremely weak, slow and uncomfortable. Is this just a lack of
