Coffee Consumption Linked to Less Severe Tremors in Men With Parkinson
A new study has found a dose-dependent relationship between coffee consumption and reduced severity of tremors in men with Parkinson disease. Previous research has established that coffee is a negative risk factor for PD, a neurodegenerative disorder that produces motor symptoms, including tremor, as

The JAMA and the Canadian Fluoride Study. Whose side are they on?
Pretty good study out of U of Toronto (n=512 pregnant women) about the debilitating impact of fluoride on pregnant women and their newborns (measured at 3-4 years old). Significantly lower IQs. Anyone who thinks US tap water doesn't contain chlorine and fluoride is sadly mistaken. About 75%-80% and that

APDA Citation: What is wrong with these 2 sentences? Anyone?
These 2 sentences were the lead sentences in the APDA citation provided in one of our recent threads. Let's see how many our many "fuax" medical types can answer my question correctly. Perhaps the individual who provided the citation as a benefit to our newbies can provide the correct answer. Perhaps

How I reduced my Parkinson’s meds by 50% and beat my addiction to dopamine
Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Within a year I was taking the standard medication associated with the disease, dopamine in its various forms (levodopa/carbadopa, aka. Sinemet). Like most sufferers of PD, my need for Sinemet, grew and grew until I was taking 200 mg every

Don't keep fixating on dopamine to alleviate your lack of energy.
Dopamine is just one(1) neurotransmitter within your system's complex of neurotransmitters. Unfortunately, many have over exaggerated its importance in treating PD and related energy depletion issues. It isn't that simple. If it were, we would all just dump buckets of dopamine drugs down our mouths and

Oxycodone Dopamine Agonist?
So I have just come off of ropinirole for restless leg due to augmentation and I’m now taking oxycodone 5 mg before bedtime. This is really been helping and I was hoping it would be good for the transitioning from Ropinerol. I just read that oxycodone is an agonist. Does this mean I will have augmentation

Hi everyone.. Restless legs syndrome is a terrible affliction.. I've lived with it for several years on and off . Melatonin and Parkinson Disease: Current Status and Future Perspectives for Molecular Mechanisms
inhibition of some pathways related to apoptosis, autophagy, oxidative stress, inflammation, α-synuclein aggregation, and dopamine loss in PD. In addition, melatonin improves some nonmotor symptom in patients with PD. Limited studies, however, have evaluated the role of melatonin on molecular mechanisms

I challenge you to give up refined sugars for a week!
Here is the challenge to you - ditch the refined sugar starting today for one week. Often we procrastinate and make excuses so the best way to beat the mind chatter and fear is to JUST DO IT!! Sugar is a huge contributor to disease - notice how our global consumption of this has massively increased in

Why should not we increase L-Dopa bioavailability in the Brain
After watching this video you will find out why you shouldn’t manipulate the L Dopa bioavailability in the brain. https://youtu.be/_eq28PCvfsg You are trying to balance something but you will end up messing with the same thing, in this case the Dopamine.

Common Herbs With MAO Inhibitor Activity
MAOs, or monoamine oxidases, are enzymes that break down neurotransmitters and stop their messaging activity. MAO-A breaks down serotonin, epinephrine and norepinephrine; MAO-B deactivates dopamine. https://www.livestrong.com/article/82970-common-herbs-mao-inhibitor-activity/

Can you take them together or do they need to be spaced out. Switch from Ropinirole to Rotigotine
Thanks to everyone who replied to my post about changing from Ropinirole to Rotigotine patches. There was some very useful information and experiences from everyone and good advice. I am considering weaning myself of Ropinirole as it looks like the general view is you should not just switch from one

Morning help?
In the morning and up till Noon or so, I experience what I call a brain fog/storm, anxiety increased, etc. Is it from low dopamine when i awake at 6:30? Some symptoms improve 30/45 minutes after i take meds, but the other can last until after second dose at 11/12.

DA Withdrawal
I'm now past my day 3 of the dopamine agonist withdrawal. I had been taking 0.125/0.0625 mg of Pramipex for the last seven months or so but decided to stop with the fear of augmentation and the fact that Pramipex had clearly made me dependent. A night without Pramipex started to mean that I would get
