The Beauty of Yin Yoga to help you
As a long time kidney patient who has been through the whole journey of teenage renal failure,
dialysis
and transplantation. yin yoga is such a joy. Give it a go! I've just launched my podcast and am sharing the yin yoga episode, 'The beauty of yin yoga'. Sit back, relax and have a listen.

1 year and counting.
Yesterday marks 1 year since I started
dialysis
. Some good and some bad days but mostly good. I'm patiently waiting for someone to step up and offer that gift of life, a kidney. Good luck and God bless all of you.

Potentially odd question about dialysis
And I was wondering if anybody has gone on
dialysis
prior to stage 4. I am stage 3a, but I am feeling a lack of ability in regards to what I normally can do physically. I'd like to hold off the fatigue and such and get back to my normal(ish) life.

Great conversation from all!
While I am upset that I need
dialysis
I am so thankful that the miracle of
dialysis
is available to me and all of you!

Getting ready to start Dialysis
Although I am still not showing symptoms Dr feels we should start considering
dialysis
no later than three months. According to my neurologist symptoms are often not seen in PKD patients because the progression is very slow. Not sure how I feel about entering “the new normal”.

I have been on dialysis for past 4 months. Why am I getting too much giddiness and leg tingling?
At the initial stage of

I am okay but after a month of
dialysis
I am getting giddiness and leg tingling. I am imbalance now. Can't walk without someone else support. Please advise what should I do. Regards.

Heart failure and kidney failure
They said she needs a heart and kidney transplant, but at the moment they are working to try to get water off her heart and lungs, then get her on
dialysis
, the have had to put her into a drug induced coma, they said for a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 7 days.

Post transplant depression/anxiety
I've had depression and anxiety issues since I was in stage 3 CKD many years ago (like a decade or more- I was born with CKD), but it's gotten worse as my CKD progressed into kidney failure/
dialysis
and is still a big struggle post transplant.

1st Step
My primary doctor on Monday said I'm going to feel so much better when
dialysis
starts. So I have to take this step. The weather is in a deep freeze, as most of the country. All the schools are closed. A travel advisory is in place this morning.

Dad in ICU fighting pneumonia and is slow to wake up from induced coma
He was able to come off
dialysis
but his kidneys don’t work at full function. So he’s now been off sedatives for going on 5 days (Versed was what he was on) but has barely started to ‘wake up’. Yesterday for the first time he opened his eyes and began to react to pain stimuli.

Waiting for a transplant
I do my
dialysis
every night for 10 1/2 hrs. I'm on the transplant list through Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl. It would be great to find a living donor. My family members are not a match although my daughter in law has been going for tests to try and become a paired donor.

Stage 4
I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney disease, my dr seems overly keen to get me on
dialysis
. Im not so keen to rush into this life changing decision as i need to process my diagnoses. I have come across various articles where baking soda has been suggested to slow down kidney decline.

I got a kidney!!
I’ve had some complications, medication issues, and even had one
dialysis
treatment. I’m making it through day by day. I’m still struggling with my numbers. I’m at a 4.0, but need to drink more fluids to get my new kidney working better.

Post Transplant Side Effects
I'm 28 years old and will start my first
dialysis
session tomorrow and going to transplant evaluation next week. After a lot of reading in NKF and some papers, I realize
dialysis
is much safer and have less serious side effects compared to transplant though I know it's inconvenient.
